My three favorites were Rapture, In The Cards, and Call to Arms.

I loved all the emissary stuff in Rapture. In the Cards was such a fun diversion from the run up to the Dominion war. And I enjoyed Call to Arms because of its epic quality.

Toughest season yet to narrow it down to just three. I went with:

"Nor the Battle.."
"In The Cards"
"Call to Arms"

I'm rather surprised that the season finale got so many votes... But I guess it is deserving, considering its the best season cliffhanger finale for DS9.

Hell of a season when "Rapture", "Blaze of Glory", "In Purgator's Shadow", "By Inferno's Light" and "Trials and Tribble-ations" can't make my top 3.

Call To Arms
Children of Time
For the Uniform

In that order.

I was seriously tempted to choose either "In Purgatory's Shadow" or "By Inferno's Light", two episodes that - although great - always seemed like they were trying too hard to repeat "Improbable Cause" and "The Die Is Cast". (Plus, I never understood why the runabout just sat there in orbit of the prison asteroid, waiting for our heroes to beam aboard. I know this is probably unfair but this was lazy writing, cheating almost.)

Totally agree with this point which is why those two don't make my top 3 and why they can never match the brilliance of "Improbable Cause" and 'The Die Is Cast" (though its funny when magazines had polls of the best DS9 eps or had their own editors choose the fifth season two-parter got more praise than the third season two-parter. But SOS gets it right!). Also Garak and Worf talking in a runabout isn't as interesting as Garak and Odo.

I disagree entirely. While I love the Improbable Cause/Die Is Cast, I find Pugarory's Shadow/Inferno's Light to be the superior two-parter.

Probably the show's best two-parter parter (either above or below Past Tense IMO).

They are on my top 3, but, to be perfectly honest, there were individual episodes that pretty much matched its sheer brilliant - Call To Arms for one, or Children of Time, or In the Cards, or the very much underrated Dr. Bashir I presume?.

I think this was one of the hardest polls on my fav ep. and i have a bad feeling that seasons 6 and 7 will also me hard.

I voted ...

Trials and Tribble-ations
In Purgatory's Shadow

By Inferno's Light

BTW, this poll is closed now. Please vote in the second part.
