I probably should explain...two of the above. TNGers constantly accuse Kirk and Company of running around the galaxy breaking the Prime Directive at will. However, A Piece of the Action and Friday's Child are classic examples of our TOS heroes doing their very best to either correct a PD problem in APotA or avoid Klingon abuses of a basically PD world in FC. I like APotA because the "on the fly" humor is outstanding and very in-character for both Kirk and Spock. FC has other sub-issues that make this a strong plot: the Big 3's interference in the customary execution of Catwoman...er...Julie Newmar and Scotty trying to avoid conflict.

APotA was excellent. Lighthearted, amusing ST at its best. If there was a 4th pick, I would have picked this episode. I think it effected the later ST incarnations in their idea of a "holodeck".
