As far as onscreen goes, a photo briefly seen on a wall in the Enterprise's rec deck in TMP.I never saw the Ringship Enterprise. From where does it come from ?

Oh ok, thank you.
Shame on me!
It's a kind of weird design though. Is there speculations about what it could have been ?
According to it's designer Doug Drexler, those aren't windows, but skylights covering acres each. The ship's more than 2 miles long. More pics on Doug's blog, here.
What's wrong with that ship? The windows look like they're stretched out or something.
My favorite Enterprise is the 1701 refit.
Thankfully that's still not canon. I don't like the passenger starliner concept at all for that design (it just doesn't work for me). I do prefer to think of it as an early exploration vessel. As far as onscreen goes, a photo briefly seen on a wall in the Enterprise's rec deck in TMP.I never saw the Ringship Enterprise. Referred to as such in the 'Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology'. Described there as a Starliner - carrying people in comfort to other stars during an especially peaceful period in UFP history. Not at all involved with defense or exploration.
