I'm watching a documentary on Steve McQueen and I'm reminded of how fantastic the car chase in Bullitt is, so I thought I'd start a poll about this. There I of course start with the obvious one:

There was another car chase that I saw a few months ago or so that wowed me, but I'm blanking on the film.

Not necessarily my favorites, but I think they're obligatory - both versions of The Italian Job and both versions of Gone in 60 Seconds.

Finally, on a different note, I think I'm the only person in the world who kind of enjoyed the movie Speed Zone! albeit I haven't seen it since I was little.

Watch that scene carefully and you'll see that they pass the same VW Beetle several times

IMHO, the scene in Russia in The Bourne Supremacy where Matt Damon, as Jason Bourne, takes out a Mercedes SUV while driving a little tinker toy.

Not sure if this counts, but I've always loved the freeway scene in Matrix Reloaded too.
