Best Actor by Series

DS9 was way too many immaculate actors to pick a "best". DS9's best are all completely perfect and mesmerzing in their roles so there can be no definitive "best". Especially Armin Shimmermann, Rene Auberjonois, Colm Meaney, Louise Fletcher, Marc Alaimo, Jeffrey Combs, Andy Robinson etc.; but thats by no means a complete list of the immaculate actors on DS9. I definitely strongly disagree with the idea that Nana Visitor is anywhere near as good as any of those individuals I've just named. Visitor's acting gets extremely hokey, amatuerish and unbelievable any time she starts crying or flipping out. She's a decent actress but nowhere even remotely near on the level of DS9's best actors.
The other serieses are much easier to definitively pick the best actors from:
TOS - Nimoy
TNG - Spiner
ENT - Dr. Phlox actor
VOY - Neelix actor

- Agree with the earlier poster that Shatner was asked to
act a far wider range than Nimoy and did it well.

- How anyone could pick Spiner over Stewart is beyond me.
Yes, Spiner is good. But Stewart is amazing. Just watch
"Chain of Command, Part II" and get back to me.
DS9 - Too Many
- There's no way to narrow this one down. Among the
regulars, probably Meaney. But there are so many great
recurring actors -- Louise Fletcher, Marc Alaimo,
Andrew Robinson, Jeffrey Combs, and on and on.
VOY - Ryan, I suppose.
ENT - No opinion.

TNG: Patrick Stewart and LeVar Burton
DS9: Nana Visitor and Avery Brooks (This was a very difficult choice.)
VOY: Jeri Ryan and Tim Russ (This was a much easier choice.)
ENT: Connor Trinneer and John Billingsley

All of which I don't watch. Still though, it's good to see she is still acting. The same can't be said about some of the other members of the DS9 cast.
Colm Meaney will be in the US remake of Life On Mars. You can guess which role he'll be playing.
^ Colm was also on Law & Order: CI a short while ago. He played a judge.
