I'm still surprised at all the support for the new Sarek. I still think he's the weakest cast member, and the one I would most like to replace.

And of course everyone is supposed to agree with me.

...it doesn't mean that he wasn't a jerk. People can love each other very dearly and still treat them like crap.

... I said he's a jerk to him who doesn't know what to make of him or how to have a good relationship with him.

So, all this says to me is that you are very familiar with the term "jerk"....
