Beltran to play Chak in the next Renegades

(my mom didn't exclusively deny me but as a kid you figure "dirty dancing" must be on the no list.) As I kid I didn't get what the fuss was all about. I didn't feel the least bit dirty watching it. Now it's mainstream pop culture. She's an Anna Fan. She said "Anna is Funny. Elsa is too sad." Some kids get it! So why withhold? She can't tolerate harm. So the Anna almost dead scene near the end would be too much until I know she can have a conversation about it. That's like me watching Bambi's mom get shot before I knew how to express my feelings over it. Haunted me for a awhile.
 
Raise your child your way, and I will try to bugout and tweak less because of the 4000 times I saw Shrek III with mine a million years ago.

If you think these name actors are appearing in these things out of the goodness of your heart, you would be incorrect. The production may not make any money off the films, but there are absolutely people getting paid.

"out of the goodness of their hearts" and being sincere fans who want to indulge their fandom can look like the same thing from the outside. When it was the lineup from the first (horrible) Renegades, I thought that might be the case - Russ and Koenig both really are fans, and I don't know about the rest, but they could be.

But now that Beltran is onboard, that seems unlikely to be the motivation for him - and for at least some of the rest.

Oh. That makes sense. Could not fathom why they would be doing it otherwise.
 
I don't trust USA pumpkin spice *shifty eyes* hehehe it's been made with extra imitation flavor in America this year. Tastes very, very artificial and not in a tastier way. I might get a Star Bucks. Might.

Lynx> Yes. Some people just don't get dry/sarcastic humor. When he's being straight forward he likes the idea but was intolerant to its execution. The scripts were too silly and he even said, "of course you [kate] like it. You had the best lines!"

They used to have delicious pizza, so I would probably trust them at least once - if they were in the region of the country that I'm in now (SE). I haven't had Casey's pizza in probably 25 years.

Now I want pumpkin cheesecake AND Casey's pizza, and I feel OLD. You're really not helping me here. :p
 
I would be seriously surprised if any more Renegades get produced. I am a huge Trek nerd, obviously, and even I found it kind of let down after all of the hype surrounding it. I'll watch it of course but am sort of glad I didn't donate any cash towards it.

As for Chakotay and Beltran I like both the character and actor so it'll be interesting to see how they incorporate him into the show.
 
Here's the thing.

It sucked, Renegades doesn't hold a candle to Phase 2/New Voyages or Continues, but... Renegades was severely better than Of Gods and Men, which is the last thing these people made.

The actual story was stupid.

Seriously, execution doesn't matter if you can't find a believable reason for these characters to get in a room and fret.
 
Do you know where the production team is with the episode 2 ? I didn't like the first episode but well, it was the beginning so, I let another chance.

I read somewhere that Terry Farrell (whose the character, Jadzia, has been killed in S6) will be back too. I wonder how her "resurrection" will be explained.
 
Wow ... Beltran in a Fan Film ... how the mighty have fallen. The poor guy's got no pride, left. He must really be down on his luck. But if it keeps him off the streets ... well, then, I suppose ...
