There was a lot of it in Series 1, but that died down in series 2 because we had gotten to know the characters a lot more than we did before. The writing when it comes to Sid's dad dying after finally getting his retribution, Tony's complete dedesign of himself and Michelles guilt over the whole situation, Chris' death after refusal to stop taking drugs.
I remember when I first watched Skins, I was fresh out of college at the time it was about to air so I thought I would watch it, and to be perfectly honest I hated it, but after the latter end of series 1 and the whole of series 2 I couldn't wait to see the next episode, and I hope series 3 and 4 are going to do the same (but at the moment it seems doubtful).
Things like the riot after Cook won the election was utterly pointless, another cheap dig at Bristol in my opinion. All those students that went crazy would have been immediately expelled if they did that at my college (which happened to be on College Green), and I don't think Naomi and Emily have any chemisty together at all.
But I see comments about JJ being a "bitch", but I think he's got characteristics of autism or some other disorder that is mostly unheard of in teen circles, I heard the phrase "I'm attaching myself again" in JJ's teaser trailer and the official one I saw earlier today, and it made me wonder if JJ unintentionally attaches himself to a friend, or someone he idolises.
But then again, we'll see what happens next week

Are we missing an episode? Effy's isn't suppost to be the one before the finale, what would be the point in leaving the leading cast members episode to last? The point in having Tony the centre of the first episode was to establish his leadership and connections within the cast, Effy hasn't had that.
