Judging from the preview and the TV mag, next week is almost solely the lives/struggles of Emily and Katie.

I just thought this one was weird. Nowhere near as weird as Effy's episode in series 1, but weird nonetheless.

I think Katie was really doing it. She's pretty evil.

I'm a bit annoyed by the Pandora story because I want to know WHY she was sleeping with Cook. We've barely seen her for weeks. I thought it would turn out Thomas didn't want to have sex before marriage or something. Maybe we'll find out next week (I think there's only two to go, I'm guessing next week's won't have Effy and Cook then the finale will have nothing but Effy and Cook.)

I agree, I think she was doing it, particularly because she knew Effy was tripping and just wanted make her feel worse.

I want to know what's going on there too, and I want to know how Katie and Freddie ended up together, and what happened with her bloke, and various other things they seem to have glossed over, or ignored

I was wrong, next weeks isn't the finale... I'd heard Effy's was the second to last episode.

I agree with Bob, this series has so many plot holes and they haven't even tried to cover them up. I think Thomas is the biggest one, it's like he's been forced in to these last episodes because who ever wrote the episode didn't write anything about him. Nobody knows anything about him except from what we learnt in his episode, and on top of that he already knew about Pandora and Cook and then just walked off. If he knew why would he go?!?!?!

Also, next weeks is Katie/Emily's story (although I've got a feeling from the advert it's going to be more focused on Katie), and then the one after that is the finale.

From BBC Press Office

Celebrating the success of Being Human, BBC Three has commissioned a one-hour special documentary to give fans another taste of all things Human and otherwise, on Saturday 28 March at 9.15 pm.
Unearthed will take the audience on a unique behind-the-scenes tour to meet many of the actors who play the much-loved characters from the series including Aidan Turner (Mitchell), Russell Tovey (George), Lenora Crichlow (Annie), Jason Watkins (Herrick), Annabel Scholey (Lauren) and Sinead Keenan (Nina).
Unearthed is unmissable viewing for anyone who loves Being Human.
The documentary will also feature interviews with series creator and writer Toby Whithouse and will be followed by the first three episodes of the first series.
The concluding episodes of series one will be shown the following Saturday.

Looks like the Beeb are treating it like a hit show, which is good. Hopefully it will stick around for a while.

Is this still the thread for discussing Skins? No-one's posted here for two episodes.

Yeah, it's still here to discuss Skins. I'm currently watching the last episode now, so I've got nothing to say about it yet. But I'm disappointed with the way the show is headed so far. I don't think this series has been anywhere near as good as the previous 2. Still has it's good points but it just doesn't feel like it's as strong as it was.

I wouldn't know cause I didn't watch the first two series, and I've only been watching this series since the 6th episode.

Amazon and Play both currently have the first 2 series in a box set for around £14. If you're interested.
What are you thinking to this series since you came to it late?

I might try and "track" down series 1 first and watch one or two episodes, before I spend money on the DVD's.

What are you thinking to this series since you came to it late?

It's alright, Nothing Earth-shatteringly brilliant, but decent enough for the most part. I like the writing, and the characters (generally), and the dynamics between them are pretty good. I need to go back and watch it from the beginning though, hopefully it'll fill in some of the blanks.

I don't particularly like Effy at all. Is she supposed to be a reflection of her brother (who I understand was the main character in the first two series)? Does Pandora have any facial expression other than gormless? Did Thomas have anything to do in the earlier epsiodes, or has he always just been there to shout at Pandora and scowl at Cook? Could Katie be any more of a try-hard? I like the relationship between Naomi and Emily, as it seems "real", and I can totally see Naomi's point of view and why she's holding back.

Overall, it's pretty interesting, and I'll definitely be watching series 4 next year. I just need to catch up on what I've missed so far.

^The first 2 series are still on 4oD for free, I believe. That's how I got in to the series in the first place. I saw the first episode, and cos Tony is such a massive cunt, I hated it. Then I kept hearing how good it was and decided to give it a go before series 2 started.

I think me and Bob are the only two people to dare speak of Skins anymore, lol.

Last nights episode was a huge disappointment for me, I knew for a fact they wrapped up the storys of Pandora, Thomas, Emily, Katie and Naomi in the previous episode, which slightly annoyed me, but I could see why they decided to do that. I think in total I was impressed 2-3 times in the episode, the point where Cook cried because his dad was being a dickhead made me "awwh", because throughout the series he's been the hardman and we finally see some emotion from him, granted it's in the last 15 minutes of the final episode. And another bit was where Freddie was masturbating and JJ and his sister walked in, when he stood up and something fell over next to him gave me a laugh, and it looked accidental.

I can hopefully answer all your questions:

I don't particularly like Effy at all. Is she supposed to be a reflection of her brother

In some ways, yes. In series one Tony showed he cared lots for Effy in her episode, which is the first time we actually see him care about anything. In series two, Effy is the one who is caring for the household during their mothers first breakdown out of 2 in three series.

Does Pandora have any facial expression other than gormless?

In short, no.

Did Thomas have anything to do in the earlier epsiodes, or has he always just been there to shout at Pandora and scowl at Cook?

Strangely enough, not really. he had his own episode which I believe was the second episode of the series, then we see little to nothing of him. I can only think of twice we see him for more than a minute in an episode.

Also, I can sort of see in the second series, Katie being jealous of Emily and Naomi's relationship, don't know why, but I correctly guessed the Sid & Michelle storyline in the second series after the first had aired.

In short, watch series one and two before attempting series three. I hated it at first because as Bob said, Tony was such a cunt it put me off. But watching his development in to something new and then, well I won't spoil it to you, but you'll be in shock.

Aidan Turner talking about Mitchell's story line for series 2 of Being Human

From Digital Spy

Aidan Turner has predicted that the upcoming second series of Being Human will be darker than the first.
Speaking exclusively to DS, Turner, who plays vampire John Mitchell in the BBC series, also revealed what lies ahead for his character.
"I don't know how much I'm actually allowed to say, but it gets quite dark for Mitchell - I think the whole second series is quite dark," he admitted. "He tries to make amends for the mess that's been left behind and a lot of angry vampires want his blood!
"He has to go on and deal with that and that takes him to places that he doesn't realise he's got to go until he's in them. And then he has to deal with those situations. It's a heavy time for Mitchell!"
Discussing the show's other central characters, Annie and Georgie, he added: "They get involved in Mitchell's stuff, but his stuff is very much his own story really.
"George obviously is still dealing with his issues and his afflictions. And Annie has a very interesting story as well. I'd hate to spoil her story but she has some very exciting stuff coming up!"

I'm intrigued as to what they're going to do with Annie now. Mitchell and George kind of write themselves, but her sole reason for staying on has been dealt with. Then again I guess we do have those mystery men from the end of the last series and their objectives to think about as well.

It's on BBC1 on Thursdays now too, good chance to see it all again.

I've got the blu-ray set. I plan on watching again before the next series starts.

Oooh this old thread, I'd forgotten about it. You'll be able to include the Skins series four soon (which by the way, I met the cast a few weeks back in Bristol (my home city), they were just hanging around and I walked past with a group of friends and they weren't being hounded by anyone which was surprising, and I met the guy who plays Cook again in town a few days after outside of a pizza place, so he must be staying/living in Bristol while they shoot).

The twins are just as hot in real life as they are on screen.

Damn I can't beat that. I did meet the girl who played Michelle in my student union once. That was cool.

I do hope series 4 is better than series 3 though.

If they follow the pattern of 1 and 2 then 4will be the stronger series where they get down to proper story telling.

That's what I'm hoping for. 2 blasted 1 out of the water... other than the episode when they went to Russia. That's probably still my favourite episode of them all.

I've met most of the cast of series one and two, just by luck actually. I was in Lloyds once, when I had my really long hair and thicker glasses, and I heard someone shout "it's Sid from skins!). Thinking they meant me (because I did look like him), I turned around and smiled, and next to me at the bar was Mike Bailey.

I'm really looking forward to the next series of Being Human, much more than I am with Skins. I do really hope Tony makes a cameo in series four or something. There was a podcast (like the ones from series one and two) where Effy speaks to Tony, but he's not seen onscreen).
