"Before and After", timelines and "Year of Hell"

It's more there unwillingness to sit down on a planet for months.

OCD.

Gotta keep moving.

The exterior shots from the times Voyager did land were awesome.

Between bracing force fields, antigravity and transporters transplanting broken this and that seamlessly from a to b, it doesn't seem like the ship could be damaged so bad that the crew weren't dead also that it couldn't be fixed.

Consider that Kirks, well, consider that Pikes Enterprise was completely refit, and then again before they almost gave her to Dekker...

A hundred years later and they would have been building ships with the intention that they would one day some day be refitting them with new as yet unimagined technology which is why there are still Excelsior Class Starships seen mucking about in DS9 and TNG. Hell as excelsior Class refit beat the Defiant in a fair fight in Paradise Lost (or was it Homefront?).

Good god Voyager can eject and replace their warp core with out much trouble in space.

And another thing.

Voyager is TINY!

Besides, if they couldn't 'fix" Voyager, if they could make industrial replicators they could have just built another Starship of any classification they felt like.

They had to stop using the warp coils they got in Hope and fear due to hull stress... So maybe you have a point? or if they had stopped on a planet for a month to fix the ship, they could have gotten home in a few hours.

Cutting off their nose to spite themselves.

Of course, their is only one reason the writers would tackle something like this. Traveling into the future is hyperbola and traveling into the past isn't because it already done. Kes is the only witness and she's far gone before 'Year of Hell'. Then why continue this thread?:)

because she filed a report when Tuvok debriefed her, and probably individually warned her friends about how they were about to die.

JANEWAY: Tom's right. I think we should all leave the future to the future.
TUVOK: While I agree it would not be wise for Kes to make all of her experiences public, a report on anything she knows about these Krenim might be useful.
KES: I'll get started right away.
JANEWAY: Hang on a minute. I didn't mean now. Stay and enjoy your party.

Of course?

Did she jump queue and make a run for her husband before the Klingon got her hooks in?

I'd imagine most people after glimping life as Mrs. Tom Paris would run the other way.
Please, I'd be more afraid to have sex with Kes during her Elogium. She goes from Tinkerbell into a mucus dripping praying mantis.:eek::eek: How is that sexuallity stimulating?

Eh, compared to what sex with Klingons, Vulcans and probably other aliens out there is sleeping with someone a bit moist REALLY that strange?

I feel story for you if you've never wild Vulcan sex ever.:p
There's a reason why "Vulcan Love Slave" is Quark's top holosuite program.

Moist is one thing, secreting glue and having sex with Carrie is something waaaaaay different.

I take it you've never seen "Galaxy Quest", some folks don't have a problem with less than human...

It's just Hydrogen which has been smashed and fiddled with in a super colider.

It exists naturally, and in fact the Canadians use "heavy water" consisting of two Du and one O as the basis of their highly successful CANDU fission reactors.

The Germans were concentrating Heavy Water at Telmark in Norway during WW2 for their nuclear program as well.

It's more or less an electrolysis process and gas density separation... I think. I do know there are no super-coliders involved.

Obviously I was exaggerating.

Just a regular Electrostatically focused, deuteron accelerator-collider rather than it's 17 mile long big brother.
