BBC America

One of the rare times the UK gets things earlier/better than America - we have 2x HD episodes (seasons 1-5) on every weeknight as part of 'Star Trek Zone' on SyFy.

"A Matter of Time" in HD was on last night; it looked great.

So I guess the first season was the only one they had in HD, because they stopped with "The Neutral Zone" and now there's no longer a Tuesday evening block for HD episodes. Disappointing. Looking at their schedule for other TNG timeslots, I'm not understanding why they're scheduling things they way they do. The next episodes to air will be going from later S5 episodes to early S6 episodes. Okay. But then there's S7 episodes, going back to the beginning of S5 episodes and then S6 episodes and so on. It's such a mess. Can't they just air episodes in order like any other decent channel, or is this the approach all stations go for with blocks of shows?

During the credits I found myself looking to the corner for that ubiquitous blue glow, only to be pleasantly surprised to find it gone. :D

haha I did as well when the first season set came out.

I think it might have been a visual artifact of the titling overlay system they used way back.

I miss that glow somehow in HD.
So much for being true to the original airings CBS, huh? :klingon:

;)
