New Season - New Batwoman

The show premieres on the CW on Jan 17th.

Couple of teasers out so far, a trailer is probably not far off.

Here a couple of the teasers we've gotten so far.

I wonder how many episodes that covers? Definitely looks like it should good.

Oh yeah, I now that you say, I do remember reading that somewhere. It looks like her and Luke start working together pretty quickly then.

The subtitle to "Whatever happened to Kate Kane?" newspaper article shown briefly in the trailer there says "[something ... something] missing after jet crash" which I'm guessing is more likely to be a cover story made up by Luke and co to cover up the fact she disappeared at the same time as Batwoman than what will actually happen to her on the show.

EW has a new exclusive batch of pictures from the season premiere, including a couple from Luke and Mary's first encounter with Ryan Wilder, and our first look at Hush as Bruce Wayne since the Season 1 finale.

Thanks for this. I'm a little more interested now. I liked the Hush masquerading as Bruce Wayne storyline in the comics years back and thought more could've been done with that. Glad the Batwoman series has taken up that story.

Also liking the Batsuit and the new Batmobile. Wishing well for the new actress/character, but was really hoping she would've been one of Lucius Fox's daughters.

Yesterday's Matt's Inside Line on TVLine included a couple of small bits of Batwoman Season 2 info.
What will happen to Sophie’s role on Batwoman? –Belle
Let’s just say that the Crows badass (played by Meagan Tandy) has her own complicated history with Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) aka she who would be the new Batwoman.

Are there any plans for Julia in Season 2 of Batwoman? –Justin

Let’s just say that “Bruce Wayne” (played by Warren Christie) would be wise to steer clear of Alfred’s daughter (Christina Wolfe), whilst roaming around town.
I'm just hoping that Ryan isn't also Sophie's ex. Having both of the Batwomen have a romantic history with her would be to Small Universe Syndrome.
It sounds like something happens between Julia and Hush. Did she establish if she had any kind of history with the real Bruce last season?

This might not be the trainwreck myself and others have feared it will be, but I'm still not interested right now.

I like that they seem to be working hard to make Ryan her own unique character, rather than just Kate 2.0.
Was The False Face Society in Season 1 or are the a new addition this season? I don't remember them, but my memory isn't always the best.

There's no entry for them on the Arrowverse Wiki, so I guess they're new. In the comics, they're generally associated with Black Mask, who has not been part of the Arrowverse yet.

Io9 has posted the description for the season premiere in today's Morning Spoilers.
As friends and family hold on to hope that Kate may still be found, a homeless 25-year-old named Ryan Wilder stumbles upon Kate’s Batsuit. Focused on no longer being a victim, Ryan takes the suit to use as armor and goes rogue in the streets of Gotham, taking out various members of a new gang called the False Face Society.

Meanwhile, both Jacob Kane and Luke Fox launch searches for Kate, Mary Hamilton grapples with losing yet another family member, Sophie Moore struggles with things left unsaid to her first love, and Alice is furious that someone got to Kate before she could exact her revenge.
At the same time, “Bruce Wayne” (played by guest star Warren Christie) returns under the pretense of searching for Kate, but the truth is he wants his suit back and it becomes the clash of impostors as “Batwoman” and “Bruce” square off in the action-packed season premiere.
