Spoilers Batwoman - Season 1

Luke might have asked his dad?

Or Bruce could have anticipated that someone was going to show up and there's 15 Batsuits out the back cut to the specific specifications of whoever turned up.

Which makes Luke a conman, an actor, or a stage magician, or all three, to roll with it depending on which character broke into the Batcave.

And also means that Bruce would have a shortlist of People He Knows As Most Likely to Figure Things Out and Try to Pick Up Where He Left Off to have suits pre-measured for.

Yeah, I've got to agree about the suit thing with Luke, that does feel like a bit of an inconsistency.

Indeed.

I can't really see them having Kate go out of her way to break up the marriage,

..but that was how she acting toward Sophie in this recent episode--as if she's willing to disregard the truth & sanctity of someone's marriage for her own ends.

I think it's going to be more of Sophie growing closer to Kate again, and then reaching a point where she has to decide between her or her husband. The best way to go about that kind of a story without turning Kate making look would be to make Sophie the driving force behind everything, rather than Kate.

...or Kate simply find someone else, as people do in real life, long after a break-up.

I really hope that she gets the real Batwoman costume soon, because the suit in its Batman incarnation looks terrible (and even when they first showed it without alterations for her it looked like it would have been the cheapest, blandest looking live action Batman suit). Her Batwoman suit that we've seen before is pretty good, so hopefully it doesn't take too much longer to get there.

The preview for next week's episode shows the new suit.

I have to confess I don't remember exactly how it played out, but couldn't it be that she is just still pissed that she married someone else, but could just move once she gets over it.

Megan Tandy is a regular, and I can't see them giving up on the drama between Sophie and Kate at least for a while.

Just watched Ep. 2.
Meh.
There are things I like: I like Luke better this episode, that's he's not a Cisco or a Felicity clone, that's nice. I like the Step-Sister, she's one of my favorite characters. And I like the look of the show, even though it's borrowing heavily, in my opinion, from Nolan's Batman movies.

But, Ruby Rose is not growing on me. She's still the weakest of the actors. I feel she's wooden, especially when she's in scenes with people who are better actors than she is.

And, it left me with more questions about the world. Like, what is the relationship between the crows and the GCPD? They can authorize a shooting which suggests they are in charge, but, then Daddy can yell at them like he's in charge?

And Batman, so, he was there at the accident, but, then, when the car fell off the bridge he was like, "Nope, not going after it?" Luke says, "He never stopped looking for the bodies" but then.... the car fell off the bridge while Batman was there, it sure would've been easy for him to do it then...

I get why they want to tie Batman in at that moment, it just... meh. I get it, maybe there will be some reason why his fancy dancy gadgets didn't stop the car, but, Batman could've gone down to the car after it fell...

Eh.

It doesn't matter. I'm not really interested in watching more.

He could have just been put in charge of that one group of officers for that one situation where the two organizations were working together.

He thought the rope had the car held safely, so he went to go deal with the bus. They made a big deal in the pilot out of the fact that the rope should not have broken.

.

He was chasing the Joker, who had stolen a bus full of kids. He paused long enough to secure the car (he thought) before continuing after the bus. We're told explicitly that he stopped the Joker from killing 34 kids that day, but he was long gone by the time the car went off the bridge--and only found out about it afterwards.

Even Batman can't be in two places at the same time.

What's interesting to me is that, while Kate said something about the steel in the car trunk giving way, the flashback footage appears to show the other end of the cable coming loose where it was anchored to the bridge railing. So I think maybe there's going to be some surprise revelation about someone being responsible for that grapple coming loose.

wasn't it the fender that gave way rather than the rope?

It would be nice if that was clear.

Ah. I didn't remember or it wasn't clear to me that he stopped the car and then went to the bus.

I missed the line the trunk, so I thought it was the rope.

The shot of the cable giving way seems to show the grapple coming loose from the bridge railing (if I'm interpreting it correctly) rather than the cable breaking.

People seem to be very Critical About this show online but I didn’t think it was that bad. I enjoyed the two I’ve seen so far. I assume with this being TrekBBS and the majority of people here seem to like everything that people are more accepting of it. :)
