Spoilers Batwoman - Season 1

It's also true that drama is driven by conflict, but there are ways to make that more interesting and meaningful than just, "I will kill you, Flash." The fourth season of Supergirl did a great job of driving its story more with moral than physical conflict, where the threat was more to the heroes' ideals and beliefs than it was to their lives.

It's the difference between these shows and Smallville - and why I think the latter is still better than any of them.
Seriously??

I blame Smallville for starting this trend with superhero shows. The show revolved around Lex and Lionel Luthor’s actions for the first seven years. Which was replaced by Tess and yearly villains Doomsday, Zod, and Darkseid.

More importantly though Clark Kent who seemed to largely resist being heroic unless forced. Usually lectured by characters like Chloe and Oliver Queen to get off his ass and become involved. Oh yeah and his younger cousin Kara too!

I'm not going to say Smallville was better than any of the Arrowverse shows (especially since the superb Black Lightning has now officially joined their ranks), but I did love it a lot. Would much rather watch Smallville than the last few seasons of Arrow or Flash.

Scrolling down to see "Ruby Rose is back!", and a half-second later, spotting the trailer for another project had me saying, "you dirty..." ;)

...but it is a great loss for Batwoman that she is no longer its lead.

Watched the DC Fandome panel, Javicia seems really wonderful and she's either genuinely enthusiastic of getting a crack at this role, or she's just really good at acting like she is, both of which would make her a good choice. :D

The panel was obviously shot before the event was split into two, about a month ago, so there were no news from the start of shooting or clips or anything, just some hints on how various characters might react to the new Batwoman, and they talked a bit about changing the suit to suit her, which I can't wait to see.

I'm probably one of the few people who wasn't enamored with Batwoman Season 1. That photo looks really great, and now that I've had time to digest the news of Ruby's departure, I am hopeful about this upcoming season.

I doubt that will be her final look, since they said they'd be changing her wig to something that better expressed her ethnicity. Like Kate, she may need a few episodes to decide how to personalize the Batsuit.

The look works better than I would've thought. I know it's part of the costume but I never cared for the wig though I suppose it could hamper someone trying to identify Kate/Ryan out of costume. Though it doesn't look out of place in the photo, maybe even better than with Ruby Rose. While it may serve its purpose I'm glad they didn't go with that bright lipstick seen in the early Batwoman appearances.

Whisper is from the comics, as in "Whisper & Abbot." I think they worked for Ra's al Ghul or something. I have no idea about "Ocean" though.
Oh, I'd never heard of the character, and the article didn't mention the comics.
