Battlestar Galactica getting rebooted (again) for NBS's streaming service

You mean this?
It going to be a mini-series and it's going be base on the Romulan War, not on the cast of Enterprise and it's not going be center on them, even though they will be in it. NCIS: New Orleans is produce by CBS.

Even though y'all don't believe me at all. But in 2015 and CBS announced it publicly, y'all will believe the person who post the news here on TrekBBS

A few accuracy issues there, it must be said.

Really? You've been a member of this BBS for nigh on 15 years and don't know how to do that? Hmmm...

See that little number in the lower right-hand corner of every single post? That's the post number of the thread. Right-click on it, and then click "Copy Link Location", or "Copy", or whatever your browser's option is. Then, make a new post here, click on the link icon at the top of the text area (looks like a chain link), paste the URL and done. Actually, you don't even need to do all that with the link - just paste the URL as text and it will auto link. Here's a link to your post above saying you don't know how to link:

https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/bat...treaming-service.301221/page-38#post-13423908

And, if you left-click on that little number, it even pops up a nice window providing the link in a convenient BBS-formatted syntax. So many easy ways to do this.

There. So... Link?

I kind of forgot that I knew how, thank you.

Quite right, it does not. Apologies, I was describing desktop browser behavior. There is a date of the post in the lower left of the post (available in mobile pages), which is also a clickable link identical to the number's link URL.

We use to be able to copy and paste. It not allowing me to paste. All I get is spell checker.
Maybe the one who started the tread, might can link it.

I mean, cultcross already provided one, but there are some other lovely posts from that thread like this one:

We all have wait until CBS make the announcement. When that be? I don't know. It might be in 2015 or 2030 or 2100?

And according to yenny in this post, their source told them the announcement for the Romulan War series would be made in the first quarter of 2015, which of course never happened (or any other series announcement in that specific timeframe, for that matter).

Also, linking totally works.

I had remembered an article from a couple of years ago where the series creators said if they made they had made the series now, Roslin would be a power mad dictator like Trump. I wonder how the series would evolve in light of recent events that it happening in the US now?

I hope not. Sick of politics in general these days.

I'm a bit of a political geek myself and I would love a politically themed show in the ST universe as I had mentioned in the General Trek Discussion forum. Like nuBSG which heavily involved politics, Science fiction allows contemporary political issues to be discussed without the inflamed partisan, over emotional, black & white, nature that is prevalent nowadays. A good term to describe this which I read in a political forum years ago as Sturm und Drang.

If it was remade now, I think it would be relevant to today if the BSG franchise was rebooted staring at the timeline of Caprica TV sequel.

So I was off almost a year and CBS still give announcement of a new series. Which means they were looking at scrips at that time, including the one about the Romulan war.
After CBS had made the announcement. We were guessing the time period the new star trek series will take place. I was guessing at first, around the 2250s, A Captain Pike series. Then later when that show the first teaser, I started guessing late 23rd or early 24th century.
So I going to guess when the new Battlestar Galactica spin off series will stream on Peacock. 2022 the earlies and 2025 the latest. The first teaser probably be late this year or or sometime in 2021.

I predict the next Star Trek series will take place between the 22nd and 42nd centuries, it will have a Captain and will be on a starship, and it will release between now and 2030. I guarantee everyone I'm correct - my source tells me so.

You heard it first here, folks, in the Battlestar Galactica thread!

I can see it now.
The Commander will say: ''We need to engage the Cylons.''
The XO will respond: ''No we not. We're just one ship, we can't take on the entire Cylon fleet, we need to look for survivors.
