Battle-Royal: Tacos- Hard vs Soft, no holds barred...

For the longest time, I was strictly a soft taco guy. I thought it was a more enjoyable eating experience, the hard tacos were just to much work. However as of late, I have really enjoyed eating hard tacos.

So what says you, are you a hard or soft taco person?

Soft gets my vote. More flexible, easier to eat on the go and can absorb sauce/marinade for extra flavor.

I can't vote, I am completely split 50/50. I only ate soft tacos when I was a kid but as I grew up I started to like hard tacos more. Now it depends on my mood. They each have their pros and cons. I can't decide.

I always order hard shell tacos. Sure, they may be messier, but they taste much better. Soft taco shells are too bland.

I make hard shell tacos, then spread refried beans on a soft shell taco and place it around the hard shell. It keeps the taco from falling apart, and is delicious.

I like both, too, but when I want a taco, I want it to be a crunchy taco. So, "hard" for me.

Hard shell taco, easily made decision for me. The crunch alone is far more satisfying.

To me, a soft taco is a wrap. If I want to eat a wrap, I'll eat a wrap. If I want to eat a taco, it better crunch a bit.

But Digits is right--fish tacos demand soft tortillas.

OWK's idea for homemade tacos isn't bad. But I'm too lazy to do that.

For "real" tacos, I prefer soft, but for fast-food tacos (I'm looking at you, Taco Bell), I like crunchy.

Hard shell or soft, the tortilla is ultimately just a delivery mechanism for the contents, and either way's fine with me.

Pfft. You're weird. Wraps and soft tacos are totally different in my book. Personally I'm more partial to soft tacos, but I can eat both. I didn't really like hard tacos growing up because something about the texture seemed off, but it's less of an issue nowadays.

Hard tacos all the way. The crunch makes it so much more satisfying than soft tacos.

The only time hard and soft tacos are even on the same tier is if you buy a bunch of hard tacos from Taco Bell and take a while eating them. The bottom of the taco will get soggy and become a pain to separate from the paper, and the rest of the taco loses the crunch, so they're about even.

Taco Bell doesn't deserve to be mentioned here. It barely qualifies as food. There are dozens of little taqueria-type fast food places in this town that leave Taco Bell in the dust.

I don't have a particular preference. Sometimes I feel like a soft taco, sometimes I feel like a hard taco. And sometimes I just feel like a burrito. (A little donkey, literally. )
