Batman: Arkham Knight: Same Bat-Game, Same Bat-Developer!

The Batmobile gets better. I do agree that it's forced upon you in some cases, but it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. You just have to get used to the controls. I had a very hard time driving it around at first, but now I can cruise the city without any problems.

The PC issues DO NOT extend to the consoles in any way that I've heard, so if you're playing it on a PS4 or Xbox, you shouldn't have any problems.

I agree that Asylum is still my favorite of the series. There's just something about the tone and story that makes it incredibly creepy and awesome. I'd say City and Knight are about on the same level. Decent enough stories and fun gameplay.

While waiting for BMAK to be pacthed to working level, i have had the chance to go and play the GOTY editions of AA and AC(Thank you steam sales from 2 years ago. lol), and i have to say AA is simply stunning is looks and quality, if all PC games aspired to the quailty of BMAA, we PC gamers would be very happy indeed.

You know, one thing that I kind of wish this game had is something that was actually added in Arkham Origins, and that's better boss battles, like the hand-to-hand battle with Deathstroke or the fight on the bridge with Firefly. I felt like each of the villains in "Origins" got their moment to shine, while in "Knight" they were all used for redundant side missions.

The boss battles are somehow worse than the ones in Asylum, and I didn't think that was even humanly possible.

eh. Firefly in AK was interesting. So was Man Bat. Johnny Charisma had the virtue of originality. I'm about 60% done.

Somehow my roommate has lapped me and is about to find ALL 243 Riddler trophies! I think I've found about 12...

Looks like I have some catching up to do.

Yep. It counted down 4 left, 3 left, and when it finished it gave me a button to press to activate it. Batman tells Alfred to send the Batwing to GCPD but I get there and nothing.

So i've cooled down from my post game induced rage - I'm at 90.2% completion. I've done everything but the Riddler missions.

Now that I'm near the end, despite some utterly RAGE inducing decisions on part of the games designers (why, why OH WHY does the camera need to leap up 100 meters behind the batmobile in boss battles, slow down the car and make turning incredibly sluggish? I swear I'd have done all those boss battles first time if only the camera didn't suddenly leap back and fuck me) this is probably the best game I've played on next/current gen.

I'm assuming you're referring to the Cloudburst Tank battle. I did that last night and was going into a rage. I hated the Batmobile at first, but over the course of the game it grew on me and I could maneuver it like nobody's business. Well, I get to the Cloudburst and all of a sudden, it only goes five miles per hour, doesn't steer AT ALL, so I'm running into buildings left and right. The whole time the Cloudburst is on my ass, able to lock onto me through solid objects and the camera is zoomed so far out I can't tell what's going on. :brickwall:

It also didn't help the Cobra Tanks stay so clustered together that you're pretty much screwed no matter what order you take them out. Needless to say, once I finally completed the Cloudburst, I turned the game off to allow my blood pressure to return to normal levels

You also get the Harley Quinn story DLC, which you should go ahead and play first since it takes place right before the main AK story. It won't take you long, maybe 15-20 minutes.

Yeah, I think you might need one of those. ;)

One of the guys at work has offered to sell me his xbox one, used, two controllers & three games for $200. I can trade the games in and get ones I want to play, soon as I take him up on the offer.

Now that is an great deal. :techman:

Yeah, it would have been except the day he was supposed to bring it to work, he forgot it on the coffee table. And while he was at work, his son poured juice into the console.

...ugh...

So, I went out and bought my own Xbox One from GameStop. Batman: Arkham Knight is installin' now, at 39%.

Did you go to the Bat signal on top of the building?

Yep, nothing happens, just tells me to select a mission. I have a couple of watch towers left and the Riddler stuff, but it's cleared out besides that.

Hmm, that's weird.

Well, the ending happens, but it's not REALLY the ending. You finish it, and then it's like, "Beat all the remaining villains to see the full Knightfall Ending." It's such a tease!
