[Admiral Shran]

NEELIX: Delta team with me.

A short time later, a small quake hits.

Janeway: The planet seems to be seismically active.

 

[Admiral Shran]

CHAKOTAY: At first glance, it's an M-class planet in a Pliocene stage of evolution.

 

[LeadHead]

Janeway: Comparable to Earth, several million years ago.

The crew looks back at Voyager. It has started to power up to leave.

Voyager begins to rise off the planet as the various teams watch helplessly.

 

[Admiral Shran]

TORRES: Captain.

(They watch as Voyager disappears.)

Later, Chakotay leads a team, he notices Ensign Wildman stumble slightly.

Chakotay: Let me help you.

 

[Admiral Shran]

WILDMAN: No, really, I'm all right.

 

[LeadHead]

Chakotay: Don't push yourself. That goes for everyone. Perspiring wastes water.

 

[Admiral Shran]

JANEWAY: All right people, follow me. Let's take it slow. This is the most defensible location we've seen so far. The overhang should provide us with shelter, and the breeze should keep insects away. All right, let's make camp.

 

[LeadHead]

At another area of the planet, Neelix's team searches for supplies.

Hogan: Neelix. They almost look constructed. Maybe the people on this world are cave dwellers.

Neelix and Hogan approach a Cave entrance with bones lying nearby it.

 

[Admiral Shran]

NEELIX: If that's true, I'd say this is a do-not-disturb sign, wouldn't you? They look humanoid. We might be able to use these as tools or weapons. Gather them up, Mister Hogan. Is there a problem?

 

[LeadHead]

Hogan: No, Sir. Do you want all of them?

 

[Admiral Shran]

NEELIX: Waste nothing. That's one of the first rules of survival.

 

[LeadHead]

Crewman: Neelix! Over here!

Neelix walks away. Hogan begins picking up the bones. An unseen creature moves fast through the cave and heads straight for Hogan.

Neelix hears Hogan scream his last breath. Neelix and a couple of crewmen run to the entrance.

 

[Admiral Shran]

NEELIX: Hogan!

 

[LeadHead]

Hogan is Gone.

On the Shuttle, Paris is trying to do repairs.

Paris: Computer, repeat stabilizer diagnostic.

 

[Admiral Shran]

COMPUTER: Damage has been detected in the stabiliser acceleration sensors.

 

[LeadHead]

Paris: I just repaired the acceleration sensors!

 

[Admiral Shran]

COMPUTER: Warning. Vessel approaching on intercept course.

 

[LeadHead]

Paris gets up and runs back to the pilot controls.

Paris: Signature?
