Bar and Grill 4: The Conversation Pit

So, what exactly is an honorary Niner, anyways? You've never seen DS9, but enjoy talking about it? ;)
It was PKTG's invention - you'll have to ask her how she dreamed up the term. :D

I really liked DS9 for the first couple of seasons, then my interest dropped off almost completely partway through the third season. I watched decent stretches of it after that but never regained my initial enthusiasm. I do intend to give it another go at some stage, though. ;)

I hang out in this forum - specifically, these community threads - simply because there are some good people here. The fact PKTG insults me from time to time is a bit unpleasant but I can deal with that. :p

Are you watching it for the first time or something? Or what brought on this comment, besides the obvious - Farscape rocking?
I'm rewatching it and being reminded all over again why I like it so much. Besides, we're supposed to talk about stuff in these threads - right? I was just getting the conversational ball rolling. :D

^ Works for me.

Damn it!

I forgot that Lightbulb Boy was to be pressed into service for the next round.

Well, the next one is only a few months away....

Maybe you should start it now. Then I will close it and pin it to the top of the forum so I won't forget.

You can call it "Our Mod is a Dumbshit - Let Us Count the Ways Thread".

Snappy title, and I'm sure it would get lots of views. :guffaw:

Or in the alternative, when this thread reaches about 980, just start staying up all night so that the crazy Aussie won't be the only one I trust who happens to be hangin' around when I slam this puppy shut.
Lightbulb boy??? Lightbulb boy??? How on earth did you come up with that lol? ;) Maybe it's just way too early for me to figure it out lol.

Good ideas btw? ;)

PK,

Don't worry about it. We have the new one so it's time to move on. I'm just glad mine got closed after a thousand and not before. ;)

No...I always leave 'em up to at least 1,000.

I mean, they've come that far.... ;)

So. I just would like to toast Spike for giving me my DS9 fix. I know some have problems with them, but damn, it's nice being able to watch DS9 anyday I want without owning the DVDs.

Just a couple more episodes to go, and I'll have the fourth season of Smallville finished up.

And so, tomorrow, I'll be able to get started on the fifth season. I should be done in time for the sixth season premiere Thursday night!

I feel I've had an interesting day. For the first time in a long while, I didn't spend a Saturday in front of my PC, as I was in the city first off. And, then after waiting (and being the wrong day for what was to happen), I walked from Darling Harbour to Circular Quays, and then later on went and watched some cricket at a local park. I was thinking about heading to the beach, which might happen tommorrow, if they expect it to be warmer tommorrow than today.

Well, I finished up the fourth season of Smallville last night, and moved on to the fifth season this mornin'.

I may actually be done in time for the sixth season premiere on Thursday!

^

I'm a sucker for superhero stories, ever since I was a kid. Back then, the Top Three were Spider-Man, Batman and Aquaman.

These days, its Batman, Spider-Man and Abe Sapien.

:D

May your journey be swift, od0.

I've already finished the first disc of the fifth season! :D

And now, I'm goin' to bed.

Hey all,

Tomarrow is the big move and today is the preperation. I don't know what tomarrow will be like, but hopefully it goes well.

Never got in to Smallville either, but Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman is fun. Not to mention cheeeeeeeesy. :D

Good luck on the move!

I know how it sucks to move. As I'm packing to move now myself, I am up-close-and-personal with it, in fact.

Packed 11 paper boxes (sometimes it pays to work for a company that goes thru paper at a rate of 20 boxes a day!) full of DVDs yesterday, and I am not even halfway done with THAT. And I've only packed one box of books, which will take even longer.

This is gonna be a long three weeks!

Okay...this next question will illustrate just how *little* I know about Smallville :p :

Smallville is about Superman???

Smallville is about Clark Kent growing up and learning about himself and his powers, and also his destiny.

Yeah, Clark Kent is Superman, but not in the show.
