Bar and Grill 4: The Conversation Pit

^ My sister use to work for Oracle also. I think she now works with another company who are associated with them.

You may have noticed I've been quiet lately around here. I've been having internet problems, and got some sad news today also. Currently thinking about making a mixed CD to cheer me up.

Hey, all. Good to see the new place hasn't keeled over yet. :p Hope all's well with all of you (again, PT, my condolences :(), and it's great to see PKTG survived the move.

I finished my Farscape rewatch a few weeks ago. I think Blakes 7 might be next. :D

Well, I have 'survied' the move...if by 'survive' you mean 'lived'.

At least so far.

One false move and I will be killed in a cardboard and book avalanche.

Oh...and I would like to state, for the record, that the people I purchased this house from:

1. Suck in a big way at do-it-yourself home improvements.

2. Are terrible housekeepers.

It's gonna cost me craploads of money to undo some of the GHASTLY jobs they did at some of these do-it-yourself 'improvements'.

I could enumerate, but you'd all be bored to death. But highlights include (but are not limited to):
-a cabinet floor made out of unfinished painted planks, none of which are actually nailed down.
-a perfectly good countertop covered over with some sort of goop in an effort to get 'texture' or something, but which ended up looking like a countertop covered over with goop. Visualize an explosion in a caulking factory.
-and while they were at it, they didn't tape off the sink in said countertop, and that has goop all over it too.
-a lay-it-yourself kitchen floor that has lumps and air pockets underneath.
-two garage-door openers, neither of which actually work. :scream:

Hey guys, Long time no talk,

Things are still going great here at school, and I spent my first weekend on campus. I actually had a required test on Saturday but I will be staying here this weekend as well. There really isn't a reason to go home and it's worth saving my money.

PK,

Congrats on surviving the move. I kind of know how you feel. :)

I'd like to advertise a mock debate going on in GTD where posters can act the exact opposite of the way they normally are.

I'm trying to get people, including myself, to think like others. I've even installed a fake moderator.

This is going to be harder than I thought. :p

Two people on my "side" are already slipping...

I have returned. It did feel good to have a few days away from this place. There was really only one moment when I thought about checking to see what was happening, but most of the time I was too busy with family.

Welcome back, PT. :)

Well, less than a week to go, and I'll be at DCC 8 in Plano!

No DS9 media guests, but there are a few Whedonverse folks (Amy Acker, Ron Glass & Musetta Vander) and a few others I wouldn't mind meetin'.

And I'll be able to take my oldest nephew along for the first day of the con.

- edit, to add -

And everyone needs to go to the ENT forum (don't worry, it's safe) and vote for my 'Damage' avatar, which is only one of two entries to feature Casey Biggs (DS9's Damar)!!!

So I'm originally a Niner: when I first started posting, I posted in this forum exclusively.

I've decided I should definitely come back and hang with you guys more. :D So how's it going in here? Do we still have Red Leaf Tea on tap? ;)

^Don't worry, he's not a Niner. ;) You can be reasonably sure I'm posting in here by myself.

And hey, I'm my own poster. I've fended for myself up till this point. ;)

What's new in here?

^Hey, she's not going to cut you any slack. She remembers me from all the Dukat threads I posted in last fall.

I didn't see you in there back then.

^ Seems to me that I was posting in DS9 before you were even a registered memeber :p

NINERS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong! She remembers me as a dedicated, nightly, niner no0b, totally wet behind the lobes, but eager to learn :D
