[HarryM]

KIRK: Analysis, quickly.

 

[Leandar]

Spock: Same type as before, sir. Except... one metal cased object!

 

[HarryM]

KIRK: Helm, hard over. Phasers, fire point-blank.

 

[Leandar]

Stiles: Phasers, fire!

(The phasers fire and instantly a huge explosion rocks the Enterprise and leaves it floating at an odd angle, ostensibly dead in space)

 

[HarryM]

[Romulan ship]

DECIUS: Glorious. Glorious.

 

[Leandar]

Commander: Now, we go home.

 

[HarryM]

DECIUS: They're at our mercy. Commander, I remind you of your duty.

 

[Leandar]

(Later, on a level Enterprise with a darkened bridge...)

Kirk: Captain to sickbay.

 

[HarryM]

MCCOY [OC]: McCoy here.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Casualties?

 

[HarryM]

MCCOY [OC]: Twenty two so far. Mainly radiation burns, mostly from the ship's outer areas. Could have been much, much worse, Captain.

(the lights come back on)

SPOCK: Nuclear device of some kind, sir. Our phasers detonated it less than one hundred metres away.
