SULU: Security alert, sir.

 

[Orac]

Uhura: Picking up communications sir. It's from their ship.

KIRK: Pipe it in.

 

[Orac]

Uhura: It sounds like code sir.

 

[Captain Robert April]

SPOCK: I have a fix on it, Captain. I believe I can lock on it, get a picture of their Bridge.

[Leandar]

Kirk: Put it on the screen.

(Up shimmers an image of a group of four humanoids around a console. One leaves his post and salutes the figure with his back to us. That figure then turns, and we see someone who looks just like - a Vulcan. Both Spock's eyebrows hit the ceiling. There's a long silence and a lot of stares, particularly from Stiles toward Spock. Eventually people start noticing and even Kirk, who taps on Stiles' console so he'll pay attention to it instead of Spock.)

UHURA: Cryptography is working on it, sir.

 

[HarryM]

STILES: Give it to Spock.

 

[Enterprise1981]

KIRK: I didn't quite get that, Mister Stiles.

 

[HarryM]

STILES: Nothing, sir.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Repeat it.

 

[HarryM]

STILES: I was suggesting that Mister Spock could probably translate it for you, sir.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: I assume you're complimenting Mr. Spock on his ability to decode.

 

[Enterprise1981]

STILES: I'm not sure, sir.

 

[Orac]

Kirk: Well here's one thing you can be sure of mister: leave any bigotry in your quarters, there's no place for it on the bridge. Do I make myself clear?

 

[HarryM]

STILES: You do, sir.

 

[Orac]

Uhura: Transmission has been cut off. I made a tape of it sir.

(passes Spock a 3 inch floppy disc)

 

[Leandar]

Spock: Very well.

(Spock puts the tape in the computer and begins playback)
