Bakula – Quantum Leap Movie In The Works?

Quantum Leap was a great show. It would be nice to see a movie (even if I couldn't get myself into Bakula's more recent tv show--Enterprise).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't this been talked about since the end of the series? Maybe the stuff about Bellisario writing a script may be new, but I don't think that's even confirmed.

There was talk about a year ago that SyFy was thinking about doing a new QL series. This was around the time they announced a new Alien Nation series. The fact that we've heard not a peep about either project in over a year makes me doubt either one is going to be realized on SyFy.

If this does happen that would be awsome. I've wanted a QL movie since the show ended. It was my favorite show growing up and probably still is my favorite show now a day's. I hope it happens.

It would be nice, but I won't hold my breath, after all we've had about two reunion movie's and a sequel series starring Sam's daughter so far and we still haven't seen anythign happen.

The headmaster of Al's Place contacted Bellisario's office, and yes, Don is currently working on a script. But at the moment, that's as far as the project has gotten.

I'd be up for a new Quantum Leap project of any kind. Doesn't the story go that NBC was going to do a Leap mini-series and Paramount was desperate to sign Scott to play Captain Archer and when he did that nixed that attempt to bring back the show? If it ever does happen I'll watch.

Good, hopefully they can retcon that suckfest of a finale into something good.

I think the premise works better as a series. Not sure it would suit a 2-hour movie format.

They would have to focus more on getting Sam home to his present than on the concept of putting right what once went wrong.
