Bad Starship Names

I know there are more than a few who doubt the idea of moneyless society in the future, but there's one definite positive; no sponsored starships.

I mean, the USS Enterprise: sponsored by ExpressVPN doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

And just imagine the cost of boarding the USS Amazon Prime, and you'd still have to pay extra for most of the things you replicate.

And don't even get me started on the USS Tesla, because half the time, it won't.

Am I the only one who thinks "Cerritos" sounds like a brand of tortilla chip? It's like calling a ship the USS Nachos.

I mean, it's Spanish for "little hill," so I'm not sure why you would associate it with food? It's named after Cerritos, California, a city of 49.5 thousand in Los Angeles County; all the California class ships are named after cities and towns in that state.

We know there's a Parliament class...I wonder if the USS Parliament ever goes out on patrol with the USS Big Ben?

And we have no idea how long the Intrepid existed as a starship. It could have just gradually developed an all-Vulcan crew. These things take time.

I hear the bagels in the Montréal's mess hall are delicious.

srsly, Montréal is an awesome city, I love it, and you should all go visit it ASAP.

Even if you don't speak French. Go anyway. Trust me, they will help you out.

Just gonna put that out there. ;)
I have ancestors from Quebec. Hope to visit someday and due some family history digging.

By the 24th century it doesn't even seem to be the official language of France...
Well from Picard's language and mannerisms we could assume that England at some point between now and the early 24th century conquers France

Brought to you by the Montréal Tourist Board, hehe :D

As a Constitution-Class ship she was likely launched sometime prior to 2245, whilst Spock (the first Vulcan to enrol) was at Starfleet Academy sometime around 2250, so she wasn't likely to have an all-Vulcan crew until much later in her service. We know the Enterprise had at least two Captain's prior to Kirk, and if a 5-year tour was standard for the Connie then she could've had four of them before Kirk's fateful mission that encountered the Galactic Barrier (though she would have needed time for refits and upgrades in between each tour). So by 2267, the Intrepid could be on her third or fourth Captain and only recently managed to have assembled an all-Vulcan crew. [Note: Of course, all my knowledge is distinctly pre-Discovery, so it could all be null and void now]

With her platinum jubilee fast approaching and reaching such a milestone would good old Lizzie get a ship named after her, or would they have to have the Queen Elizabeth I first before launching the Queen Elizabeth II?
