Spoilers Bad Batch Season 2 - This Fall

Bad Batch Season 2 reviewer leaks/spoilers

Apparently almost all of Delta Squad show up in some way. Only 2 jedi in the entire season, and Grogu is alluded to in dialogue but is not seen

The Bad Batch is just taunting me at this point. In another context I'd love to see Delta Squad in a decent sized (aka hopefully speaking) role in a show, but not as brain chipped dogs of the Empire, and not to see them almost certainly get defeated by a precocious child.

So the Empire never rescued Crosshair or he lied to them? If he lied, he'd have to prepare for the eventuality that someone realizes that they survived the bombardment of Kamino.

That guy might it cover up, but someone else in the imperial fleet wouldn't hide it.

It was nice to see Clone Commander Wilco refuse to submit a falsified report on the Serenno incident. It cost him his life at the hand of Admiral Rampart, but at least a glimmer of the Clones' old ethics shone through.

A fun couple of episodes, very action packed but with a reasonable amount of character work to do more than just catch us up with the Batch.

Random thoughts: -
  • Great cold opening that felt straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. I kind of love that they never even bothered to establish what's in the crate.
  • Speaking of Dr Jones; when they opened the treasure horde I half expected to see the Rylothian Ark of the Covenant that keeps popping up, but alas, no such luck.
  • We did however get another very clear Indy reference with an almost beat-for-beat recreation of the "let it go" while hanging over a precipice scene from 'Last Crusade'.
  • I did spy something familiar in the treasure horde though: the giant stone obelisks that used to be outside the castle. The one Dooku used to try and train Savage.
  • The iconic Imperial Lambda-Class shuttle was namedropped, if not actually shown. So I take this as a sign that the transition from legacy Republic equipment to the more familiar Imperial designs will happen sooner rather than later (one assumes a dramatic reveal of the early TIE is in our future.)
  • Oh and I knew the voice of the old man sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it until I saw the credits; it's Wong Shi Tong/Kragger/That one doctor from Chicago Hope himself; Hector Elizondo. I've always liked him as a character actor, so it's always nice when he shows up in something!

The Rex databank page on the official website uploaded an image of an upcoming Bad Batch episode

The Pantoran appears to be Senator Riyo Chuchi from Clone Wars

The Last Crusade thing was a little too on the nose.

The beginning felt like an old school video game.

Good to have the old gang back, Cid included! I'm very curious about Wanda Sykes' character and I can't wait to see more of her. :D

Maybe, but I still loved it.
