Babylon 5

No, it was before C4 moved to widescreen. we did get some episodes ahead of the States, minus FX work (an absent CGI set in Chrysalis) or with lines that were later redubbed to correct an error (Comes the Inquisitor).
I think some of the VHSes might have been cropped widescreen. And one season three episode had the cast reacting to blank monitor screens. Oops.

I'm jealous! While I've introduced quite a number of people to B5, I've never had the pleasure of doing so in person.

Yeah, it can be very interesting. I would definitely like to be there for every episode, but obviously that is not possible. I will try to see all the big ones with her and by all means I can post updates in this thread every now and then.

The policy on posting such photos is well known, especially where it pertains to underaged subjects
What made that image indecent? For example, different than one taken at a beach of young people? Is it the picture, or the reaction?

Currently, there is no such policy available to find on TrekBBS. I don't know the policy, and new users will not observe your caution here. The discussion I started on the "Questions, Suggestions & Feedback" forum concerning the posting of rules has determined the rules are absent and wide open to interpretation by both mods and users. I was trying to make the point there that posted rules (policies) are necessary for matters such as this. The concerns regarding the image are not at all obvious, nor universal, as everything important is tastefully covered and no more revealing than a youth swimsuit catalog. The top is modest. "Each U.S. state has its own general age of consent. Currently state laws set the age of consent at 16, 17, or 18. The most common age is 16, a common age of consent in most other Western countries." Claudia was 16 in that photo.

And yet, Neroon speaks true.

Please do not post such images again, or it's a warning. The policy on posting such photos is well known, especially where it pertains to underaged subjects

She's 16 and the picture is available on Google with restrictions set. .... and she's dressed. Looking at the picture, I wouldn't be surprised if it was from a professional photo shoot.

Not sure what your point is nor what "policy" you are quoting.

Site policy aside, this conversation has been veering towards creepy town for a while.
I may only be speaking for myself, but I find this collective..."appreciation" (to use a *very* charitable term) of a person's looks to be more than a little distasteful, bordering on objectification. No doubt the female members of this board appreciate it even less than I do.

I found it tasteless but hoped it would be short lived. I'm hoping the inevitable debate about rules will be even shorter.

Back to the show, what's the best trivia any of y'all know about the show? One of my favorites is from reading the scripts. If the episode 'Comes the Inquisitor' hadn't been edited the way it was, Sheridan would have found out about Delenn's role in the start of the Earth/Minbari war from 'Jack'.

Interesting, but I felt he would have suspected she was involved in the decision since she was on the Council but just went with 'Don't ask, you might not like the answer.'

My favorite trivia is from off-screen. One day Jerry Doyle and Andrea Thompson (married at the time?) arrived at a studio gate (can;t recall the studio or the reason), and the guard didn't recognize them and wouldn't let them in. Jerry apparently convinced the guard they were Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepherd, and got in.

I can assure you that Claudia has no problem being objectified - it's kind of her job. But back to our regularly schedule thread. :)

Oh god. So much trivia in this brain it's hard to pick a favourite.
One that comes to mind though (and it may be utter BS as my memory is far from reliable) is that when reprising his role as Zathras, Tim Choate didn't remember much if anything about his original performance and had to be shown some footage to be able to recreate the character.
It's one of those things where we tend to forget that for the people that make these shows, it's mostly just a day job. Ask a person what they did on a particular day at work two years ago and they're likely to draw a blank (I know I would.) From our perspective though, Zathras is such a distinctive character that it boggles the mind that he'd be forgotten.

As for the Sheridan/Delenn thing, do we know that Sheridan ever found out that it was her that gave the order? I'm sure he could deduce that she would have been in the room (figuratively and literally) when the decision was made and have a good idea as to her emotional state given how close she was to Dukhat. Still, that's a long way from knowing it for a fact.
I think it's interesting that Delenn is so sure it would irreparably change his opinion of her. She may be right. Honestly I'm not sure either way.

On the note of being able to get into a role, I remember hearing that Peter Jurasik, in order to get into Londo mode, just had to say "MISter GariBALDi" and he was there. :)
