Yeah, that much I understood. But WHY was he power mad? Meglomania is a fascinating subject, and here was a golden opportunity to explore it in detail, but sadly, was wasted.
Clark's megalomania could have been explored, but not in much detail without sacrificing key elements to the overall story. Perhaps a standalone episode or two could have been left out, and this Clark examination replacing them. Problem with that is that many of those standalone episodes added to an overall understanding of various characters used throughout the five years.
Three episodes... yeah I would have enjoyed a bit more of them, but how much were they really needed? They served their purpose.
