Babylon 5: The Unanswered Questions

Why did Clark hate aliens so much that he was willing to enslave his own race in order to keep them "safe"?

He didn't, it was a means to an end. Just like the Nazis used the Jews as a scapegoat to spread fear and cement their own power. He was power mad.

I mean, maybe he did hate aliens, but keeping humanity safe from them was not his primary motivation.

In regards to Zack's leg, I just played my "Sleeping in Light" disc ... (never fails to get me) with jms' commentary on. His exact words are:
"Someone once asked me 'why does Zack have a limp?' And I always thought that at a point where he was working off Babylon 5, he was involved in a very heroic activity which ended up giving him a mechanical leg."

Actually, given what he wrote in his suicide note I'd guess that he was after (more or less) the same thing as Cartagia, it just so happened that he wasn't (quite) as mad as a bucket of spanners.

What happened to Catherine Sakai?
That one's easy. She got lost in the time vortex in sector 14, was eventually found by Valen who had lots of little 1/4 minbari children with her before they left Minbar for fear of the racial purity lynch mob.

Yeah, that much I understood. But WHY was he power mad? Meglomania is a fascinating subject, and here was a golden opportunity to explore it in detail, but sadly, was wasted.

Clark's megalomania could have been explored, but not in much detail without sacrificing key elements to the overall story. Perhaps a standalone episode or two could have been left out, and this Clark examination replacing them. Problem with that is that many of those standalone episodes added to an overall understanding of various characters used throughout the five years.

Whatever happened to the monks? They were there and then just faded away...

Three episodes... yeah I would have enjoyed a bit more of them, but how much were they really needed? They served their purpose.

What happened to the Rings of Power that Delenn wielded in The Gathering? That was some wicked tech there!

What happened with that hot Latina chick Sheridan had that clandestine meet with in Down Below?

Why was Pat Tallman not given more nude scenes, dammit?
