B5 Rewatch Musings

I am rewatching B5 atm.
Made my way through season 1, which is which is much better than I remember.

Now I stayed season 2, with many changes, of course.
I know there real life production decisions that mandated changes.

But what the heck was the point of Warren Keffer being added to the main cast, out of nowhere character being best buddies with the command crew?

He was forced on the show by the peeps on high. Joe didn't want him and killed him at his earliest inconvenience.
