^ Sammy yep. That's what I was referring to! Great timing ;) The more I see that Hawkeye figure along with the art work we've seen the more he continues to remind me of Ultimate Hawkeye.

New Avengers promo envelopes from Asia. Looks like all the characters have their own logos for them as well. Some obvious, some not. Stark has a SHEILD logo for his. Tasha has a weird hourglass logo for hers. I'm assuming Banner's is a radiation atomic logo thing.

An hourglass isn't an odd symbol for Tasha. It's long been the imagery associated with a Black Widow, the actual insect and Tasha.
They look like the money envelopes you'd get at the bank.

I'm not the most hardcore Black Widow fan...I've only become a fan of hers in the last couple of years, so I didn't know about the hourglass logo. That's pretty cool. Joss using his comic knowledge I guess :)

The "Hourglass" is supposed to be the red mark that's one Black Widow spiders. That's why she has it as her symbol.

You can also see the hourglass symbol on Black Widow's belt buckle in both Iron Man 2 and The Avengers (based on various stills).

Ah I wish I had gotten Avengers red envelopes.

I just got one $20 red envelope so far

As noted it's been standard on her for decades.
Examples for you and anyone else perhaps not as familiar with Natasha as the Black Widow from the comics.
Take note of her belt. You'll also notice her wrist gauntlets are nearly identical in design to what we've seen in IM2 and the Avengers publicity photos to date EXCEPT for the gold coloring.
Personally I'm hoping Tony touches those up for her at some point.

Damn. I've not been paying attention then. Fair enough.

Spider-Man in The Avengers?

I think that I'm going to call "bullshit" on this one. However, I've always wondered if something like this could happen if the various studios came to an accord as this article seems to insuinuate.

And it could only be good for Marvel/Disney to promote The Amazing Spider-Man movie as they still control all of the merchandising rights to Spider-Man.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I'll believe it when I see it.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Not this Avengers team. Not this movie. Not this Spider-man.
If it was a continuation of the prior continuity where Spider-man is an established hero I might could go with it. Not this 'rookie' on the team. Not yet.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I can't imagine a hypothetical Spider-Man cameo being any longer or more important to the story than Hugh Jackman's cameo in XM:FC.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Bleeding Cool also reported this but basically dismissed it. It would be pretty awesome, but extremely unlikely. Just too much politics and economics that would be needed for this to happen.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Just as long as it doesn't take screentime away from Cobie Smulders

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Don't worry...she's supposed to have plenty of screen time in the film :)

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I wonder, if Spidey and the X-men are controlled by another company, if their villains are allowed to cross over. I heard they were making a Black Panther movie and Kraven and the Rhino would be right at home in it.

In any movie they could show Venom from a distance and it would look and move like Spidey. Apocolyse and Mr. Sinister, or any other villain could drop by for a cameo beat down. Juggernaut fights the Hulk occasionally.

The villains aren't tied down.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

It isn't just the heroes that are owned by the various corps...but also their villains as well.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I would love if true but I highly doubt this is true.
