Aaaarggghhhhh....
It surprised me.Who knows. The "deaths"/finger snap oversaturated social media for months, so there was no surpise to this.
The only movies slated to come out before the next Avengers is Ant Man/Wasp and Captain Marvel. That all happens within the next year. There was no way for this to surprise anyone (or have a dramatic edge) when everyone knew about Black Panther, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Bucky and others have films/appearances coming.
Thanos does get that people reproduce, right? His grand plan has only delayed the inevitable.
I think Loki is still alive. His death at the hands of Thanos didn’t look all that different from his death at the hands of Kurse in TDW. “I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again” doesn’t sound to me like a line he gets right before a suicidal attack on Thanos, and he can’t be foolish enough to think that attack’s going to work, so he has to be up to something.
I’m not saying he’ll necessarily turn up alive in Avengers 4, but if there’s a Thor 4 and Hiddleston wants to return, he’ll be back.
They are not real.
There was some line about how he believed that the shock of the event would force them to live within limits. I mentioned Gamora's homeworld being like that. So imagine that they probably enforced some degree of population control out of fear of his return.Thanos does get that people reproduce, right? His grand plan has only delayed the inevitable.
No shit Sherlock. But I can still get feel things for fiction, it's actually a very common reaction for most people. Most humans have empathy, empathy that even extends to animals, fictional characters and all sorts of things. It's just the way we're wired, unless you have some disorder.
Why are you even here? Star Trek isn't real, so why even talk about it. Why talk about any form of fiction? Why talk about anything other than yourself?
Oh you just wanted to insult me.

I guess you convinced yourself that you're smart for not being able to get into a movie that most people are able to get into. Yeah, it's because you're "smart". Go ahead and think that honey. Have one thing in your life that you can be "proud" of.

On another note, I do believe that empathy is a leftover of a time when such a thing was needed for the survival of the species. It isn't any longer. The only reason we still value empathetic people is because of holdovers from religion - self sacrifice is good and all that.
I know you are. Why else did you even respond and then keep it up? Emotions scare you because you're just a scared little boy hiding behind a false persona.Triggered.
I'm very much aware of that. Nice attempt to get another dig in though. Shame on me for having a fully functional brain.I actually liked the movie. You said you are "worried" about how a fictional character feels. Worry not, for this character feels nothing due to lack of existence.
Psychopaths tend to think things like that, it isn't based on reality. You should actually seek help if you truly feel that way because that's very worrying. Although I highly doubt you really feel that way. You want to project this image of who you wish you were. Is this some failed attempt at an "alpha" move? You know I'm a woman right? It's a major turn off to all women if that's who you want this to appeal to. I doubt it appeals to anyone other than other scared little boys trying to project the same nonsense. It's that same incel/PUA bullshit that has poisoned the mind of idiots and eventually gets them to go on murder sprees because it doesn't work. Maybe try to project your actual personality instead, it will probably work out better for you and everyone else. Because this clearly isn't working for you.On another note, I do believe that empathy is a leftover of a time when such a thing was needed for the survival of the species. It isn't any longer. The only reason we still value empathetic people is because of holdovers from religion - self sacrifice is good and all that. It will be gone soon. However this has nothing to do with anything discussed here.
As for Cap -- Give me a break. The man was a soldier in WWII and saw many friends and comrades die. He was still in 'battlefield mode', so no I don't have an issue with any 'lack of reaction' immediately from him because this is a war.

Technically, the last line is Nick Fury saying “Motherf...”But he collapses at the end of the movie, the last line is him saying "Oh, God." How is that NOT an emotional reaction to Bucky, to all of it?
Oh, really? In Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve displayed great anguish as he watched Bucky fall to what he thought was his death--and this is the WW2 Cap at the height of battlefield experience (and was in the middle of a mission), yet in A3, he just turns, watches his childhood friend crumble, and barely has a response at all.

To be fair, it's also the third time he's seen Bucky "die". It's less of a shock now.Because one is seeing him fall to his death, something he understands can happen. The other is watching him and several others DISINTEGRATE. More deaths, more horror to process and overload his brain.
And that's why Josef Stalin would make a lousy Avenger.“The death of one is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.” — attributed to Josef Stalin
