They also held back on marketing it until three months before the release and there was also very public production troubles which didn't help.

When Captain Marvel came out a certain group with certain views were "reporting" empty seats as being a sign that the movie wasn't really popular, but rather all down to Disney buying out seats or entire cinema showings because Captain Marvel just couldn't be an actual financial success because...boobs I guess.

Hell, if Disney is going to continue making content as good as what we've gotten from their animation studio, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, then I say just give them control of everything and be done with it.

These numbers are absolutely insane. There is no way ep9 gets anywhere near this. TLJ ended up with 1.3bn - endgame is going to make that in less than five days and will breeze past TFAs worldwide gross with ease, and might even get close to it's domestic total. Ep9 won't be anywhere near this and will probably do 1.6bn tops.

I feel Endgame has a good chance of being the first film to crack $3bn worldwide.

    Which would be amazing.

Nearly everyone under 50 I know is hyped for this flick.

I would be amazed if ROS hits half of that. In fact, I think it'll fall short of TLJ.

I'm a bigger Star Wars fan than Marvel fan, and I'm not even that hyped for ROS.
