That's not why people have an issue with it and it's disingenuous (and a Straw Man) to suggest otherwise.
Kind of ironic though that the people that have a problem with it seem to be men rather than women.

I don't understand why you're going to lengths with these suggestions when the visual and audio cues directly support the idea that Tony's snap simply killed all of them, just as Thanos did originally.Or the previous timeline collapsed in on itself as somebody mentioned above. Iron Man's snap (by the movies own rules) must put all the bad guys back where they came from with no memory of what happens in the future.
As I thought I said, just killing them eliminates huge portions of the MCU onward from ever happening as Thanos comes from a moment before the stones were taken, but as another poster said, the timeline diverges when the first stone is taken. I said I liked that idea.I don't understand why you're going to lengths with these suggestions when the visual and audio cues directly support the idea that Tony's snap simply killed all of them, just as Thanos did originally.
If it had been a line up of all male heroes, nobody would have batted an eyelid
It's just astounding to me that so many are "bothered" by that scene enough to point it out. I didn't even notice it because, I suppose, I don't have a sexist-mindset looking for such things as "OMG! A scene showing all women!"
Seriously, why is such a thing an issue? I can see it being something a woman would notice given the message or whatever it's sending out but beyond that... To the point of being bothered by it?
So what I'm hearing is that the men were all over the place and the women were organised. That sounds about right actually.Yes I would, It would be just as weird, because the men were fighting all over the place. Like i said many times before, I DON'T care if they are man or female or whatever race they are, like in IW they did it great with black widow, Scarlet witch and I believe Nakia fighting together.
But in this case they were fighting all over the battle and to come stand together just to look cool was a little bit too much.
Of they wanted to do such a stand they could better do it at the start of the battle.
That doesn't mean I don't like woman or think less about them
We’re discussing a movie that had more pandering, fanboyish moments than any three other MCU movies combined and this one moment is the one people choose to whine about?
It’s a movie about the aftermath a giant purple thug from outer space who gets magic rocks from outer space which destroys half of the population. There are witches and wizards, giant hulks, radioactive spiders that turn people into superheroes, micro arc reactors, suits that can shrink you or grow you as small or large as can be, supersoldiers, time travel and a fucking tree and raccoon that can talk. And people are whining about the realism of multiple women from a large battle coming together for one moment in a MOVIE.
For fuck’s sake, people. Get some perspective. You lost the right to whine about realism and pandering the moment you bought a ticket.
You mean it wasn't about female empowerment? I wondered why there was a raccoon in it.For fuck’s sake, people. Get some perspective. You lost the right to whine about realism and pandering the moment you bought a ticket.

Where did old man Captain America get the new shield from considering it was destroyed in the battle with Thanos?
Why did Doctor Strange say to Stark he couldn't tell him if this was the one version of events he saw where they would be successful as it wouldn't work only for moments later to raise his finger to indicate it was the one version, leading to Stark to grab the Infinity Gauntlet?
You shouldn't do it with any character that has a long established history. All you accomplish is alienating the fanbase. What they are doing now in the MCU works much better. Steve Rogers passed the shield to Falcon so now he will be the new Captain America. That works much better than changing Steve Rogers, a character that has been around since the 40s.Nowadays it's easier to make a white character non-white, there are non-white smart\rich people on the same level as Bill Gates or Tony Stark etc...
With non-white characters their skin-color and background are what makes them them, so you can't just make Black Panther white, or Luke Cage or Amadeus Cho...

To be fair, I thought the entire movie was hot garbage with multiple cringe inducing moments both male and female.
Wow.
To be fair, I thought the entire movie was hot garbage with multiple cringe inducing moments both male and female.
The treatment of Thor was one of things that pissed me off most about the movie. The guy is broken, suffering from trauma from losing everything and everyone he loves and on a complete downward spiral and it's played for laughs. There are hints of how much pain Thor is in, but hey lets brush that aside to have jokey, fat Thor fall asleepThe way Thor and Hulk/Banner were depicted was certainly incredibly cringe inducing. Thor turning into a beer bellied alcoholic for killing a monster like Thanos seemed very contrived and out of character and done just so he could have an arc in the movie and some challenge to overcome. Making Thor a figure of ridicule was worth it though apparently.
And it was huge disappointment we never got to see the proper Hulk (apart from the time travel scene).
Curious--which scene(s) did you see as being fanboyish in nature
