Geez, you guys are going a little crazy with those rules.
i thought it was pretty bloody simple, British characters or fictional places no SF or fantasy. plenty of goddamn war movies, cop shows, medical shows, sitcoms and bloody adaptations of books to choose from!
The Bill, Hollyoaks, Last of the Summer Wine, Eastenders, Coranation Street, Crossroads, Only Fools and Horses, Vicar of Dibley, Casualty, Holby City, Luther, Morse/Lewis, Miss Marple, Brookside, Waterloo Road, London's Burning, Soldier, Soldier, Dempsey and Makepeace, The Professionals, etc. etc. etc.

Also, being the TV and Media sub forum, maybe a better rule should have been: You can use any British Media presence as this would then allow TV presenters and Musical acts and locations used in British Media. Then exclude things of a Science Fiction and Fantasy element.
Ultimately though, Capcalhourn is striking me of acting like when someone who doesn't have authority very often, suddenly get's some and goes and a bit powermad. Usually all it takes is a high-vis and a clip board though.
Anyword on my Bombardier Avatar anyway Cap? Or is serving a modern Real Ale in a Napoleon War environment too fantastical for you?

I guess there is no point in repeating myself regarding the rules for the forum in general and Avatar size given you're so blinkered on the rules and what you say must go.
I'll just resubmit the same image, just a wee bit smaller.
Or you could have chopped the sides down leaving ole Rik the same size? He is the main focus of it after all

yeah, you know what? i just tried using a photo that's bigger than 150x150 pixels as my avatar and the forum automagically shrank it down to... 150 pixels on its longest side, so under 150x150 pixels is the rules.
That's how I always do it to get my avatar down to size.

Still can't see how "Greystoke" is fantasy, but, of course, this is captcalhoun's contest and he is therefore free to make the rules as he sees fit. I hope this one's okay.
