Avatar Challenge: Britain

Morgan Le Fey is fantasy. and so's DM. talking mouse, flying car, plus whatever Penfold was... (gerbil? hamster? what?)

Dammit, didn't catch the "no SF/F" rule. And I was so looking forward to going into this contest with Captain Britain.

Oh, well, I'll go with the next best thing:

^ If we go that far, Bond could be considered Sci-Fi as much as the Avengers, and anything fictional could be considered fantasy.

It's either a fine line or a huge gray area, I'm not sure which

I'd say Bond IS arguably sci-fi/fantasy, but more to the point ERB's Tarzan is a series about an British nobleman, raised by apes, who adventures in lost civilizations. If it isn't SF/F what is?

yeah, Tarzan's more fantasy than not. and i allowed Bond because i was trying not to be an ass and disallow everything...

 Yeah, no SF or fantasy in Tarzan whatsoever....

Oh, for heaven's sake...

How about the least fantasy version of Tarzan?

With all due respect, that's a little like putting up a picture of Christopher Bale as Bruce Wayne, calling it "the least fantasy version of Batman," and thinking it doesn't count as SF/F.

What definition of SF/F do you use? I've never heard of Batman being put in either category before <shrug>

^That's not avatar-size. The max allowable is 150 x150.

As to whether something is scifi/fantasy or not, it's captcalhoun's call. It's his thread, so what he says, goes.

Did you mean Christian Bale?
