AV CONTES | TV & MEDIA | FOREIGN AFFAIRS |

and point of order, just because the exteriors were filmed in America, doesn't make it an American movie.

otherwise you might as well call Blade 2, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Czech, Superman Returns and the Matrix trilogy Australian, Wolverine New Zealander and Batman Begins or Die Another Day Icelandic.
thank you:bolian: that was my point exactly.

So what do you go by? If it's the director's nationality then Hellboy (and Blade 2 ;) )is Mexican - and that makes as much sense as your examples.

you go buy the country of the company producing it. Batman Begins for example is an American movie even though it was directed by a Brit, starred 4 Brits, 2 Irishmen and a Dutchman and was shot in Britain and Iceland as well as America. this is because it's a Warner Bros. movie.

Bingo.
you can look up movies and shows at imdb.com and scroll down and it will list Country.

For example (tv sires) Stargate Sg-1 takes place in a United States Air Force Base, most of the actors are Canadian. The country of oragin is USA/Canada in this case (not due to the actors but by who is making this show)

Xena is an American in origin but all filming took place in New Zealand.

the new sci-fi series Sanctuary though the whole thing looks to be Scotland, Engalnd (I honestly can't remember) its origin is Canada and is filmed in Australia.

Hi folks, thanks for the votes last round and sorry this took so long! Also, thanks NCC for letting me take the reigns this time.

Anywho, on with the contest. This time round is Foreign Affairs. Foreign film, television, animation....(so long as it's not sci-fi/fantasy) is the name of the game this week. :)

I'll put the votes thread up on Saturday! Have fun! :)

So.... is there a voting thread?
