[Skywalker]

MALIK: He would have needed the security codes. I never gave them to him.

 

[Leandar]

Persis: If Father didn't do it, then who?

 

[Skywalker]

MALIK: (insinuating) Can you think of anyone?

 

[Leandar]

Persis: Lokesh didn't seem that enthusiastic about your plan to attack the Klingons.

 

[Skywalker]

MALIK: He's been in the weapons bay for a day and a half, modifying the torpedo. Maybe I should torture him, just to make sure. (smiles) What do you think? (Persis pulls Malik's hand off of her.) Only four of us have the codes. Of those four, you and I are the only ones who weren't on the bridge when Soong escaped...

 

[Leandar]

Persis: You think I did it.

 

[Skywalker]

MALIK: (listens for a moment) Your heart's beating faster. Perhaps it's trying to tell me something.

(Persis jumps to her feet and draws a knife.)

MALIK: Are you going to use that on me?

 

[Leandar]

Persis: If I have to.

(he moves towards her and she cuts him)

 

[Skywalker]

MALIK: You shouldn't have done that!

(Persis lunges at him. They fight for a moment until Malik finally gets the upper hand, knocking Persis to the floor, seizing her knife, and stabbing her with it. As Persis dies, Malik pulls her up into his arms.)

MALIK: I'll miss you. (he kisses her, then drops her as she dies)

 

[Leandar]

(Situation room - Enterprise)


Soong: How long can we sustain warp five?

 

[Skywalker]

TRIP: As long as the Captain wants it. Or until we blow up. Whichever comes first.

 

[Leandar]

Soong: Adjust the scanning frequency fifteen megahertz. (to T'Pol) Sorry about that business with the Orions. Hope you weren't permanently injured.

 

[Skywalker]

TRIP: Why don't you just stay focused on what you're doin'?

 

[Leandar]

Soong: Someone's a little protective of Commander T'Pol.

 

[Skywalker]

TRIP: I just don't like you very much.

 

[LeadHead]

A Panel beeps

Soong: Is that them?

 

[Skywalker]

T'POL: It is a ship, but it's not the Bird of Prey. (approaches a comm panel) Captain Archer to the bridge. (moves to her station as Archer walks onto the bridge) It's a Klingon vessel. They're on an intercept course.

 

[Leandar]

Malcolm: It's a lot bigger than the last one. This one's a D5 class battle cruiser.

 

[Skywalker]

ARCHER: How long until we're in visual range?

 

[LeadHead]

T'Pol; 2 minutes.
