i'm so glad i decided to skip this week. i don't think i could've handled it on top of the bird flu/SARS/plague i currently have.

I went to the store to buy a posterboard and ended up coming home with a posterboard, pizza Lunchable, Hershey's Snacksters, cheese in a can, pickles, mini corn dogs, Betty Crocker Pasta Salad, white undershirts, fudge brownie and chocolate chip cookie Warm Delights, and a bra. How did that happen? It was all surprisingly cheap too. And now I can start preparing for my presentation without going hungry, and with full chest support!

I just stopped bleeding for the month and boy does it feel nice. I'm looking forward to some time alone with my boyfriend tonight.

when i need posterboard, i head to michael's (crafts store). which is dangerous in a different way than target apparently is.

^^ I just barely had enough self-restraint not to buy a whole pile of yarn at Lewiscraft today.

And the only reason I had said restraint is that they didn't have the kind of yarn I was looking for.

I wound up buying a new pair of sandals instead - comfy black leather ones that I think I can wear to work in the summer.

The intent of that mall trip was to pick up my new pants - the store I bought them at had a deal with another store in the mall for free alterations, so I got them professionally hemmed. I discovered that getting pants professionally hemmed is definitely superior - worth every penny somebody else paid.


I may not be any good at this job, but at least I'll look good doing it.

KM, I hear ya. I got a big red surprise at work today and I had to go home early for lunch to change and grab some supplies.

But at least I got to watch Casino Royale for a few minutes while I was home. :thumbsup:

Well, ladies. I have recently had a serious trauma in my life...

...I've discovered that I have gray hair.

The bifocals I can deal with, as well as some other not as obvious but still not comfortable signs of growing older. I absolutely was not prepared for the gray hair.

Lucky for me -- Walgreens has a brand of hair color on sale this week. That plus the coupon makes the box of hair color cost $1

Apparently some people get grey hair in their 20's. So it's not really a sign of being old.
