I asked to have it changed to "generally useful person", but my boss wouldn't let me.

My brother and sister-in-law were on a combo business and relaxation trip this weekend, so we got the baby. I got her to sleep last night while she drank a bottle and I watched "Desperate Housewives."

At least you have a job title. My position was sort of created for me, so I have to figure out what to call myself on a resume` that my bosses will approve.

Guess who showed up downtown the other night (where he knew I would be). I mentioned this guy I gave my email address to within two minutes of meeting him, my phone number to after a couple of emails, went out with in March, was somewhat incompattable with, had a bad date with because I was totally uncomfortable from not knowing him well enough, and thought wasn't talking to me because I was a total nut job at the end of that... Well, he was in the area and dropped by. It turns out he's been out of town and that's why he didn't return my last message. Someone tell me not to call him...PLEASE. I find him very attractive and he's a great guy, and I keep thinking the incompatability was the result of my preconcieved expectations, and...nevermind telling me not to call him. Just tell me not to rush in again, because I'm calling him dang it.

What did you wind up calling it?

^I haven't yet. "Interdepartmental clerk" is probably the most accurate, but it makes a lousy title. It's a very "me" thing to come up with, though.

Edit Darn! The GM doesn't like big words and I'm afraid that 17 letters might qualify, even if it's an easy word.

I go through the building from stern to stem and find what needs to be done and I do it. If there's something more pressing than what I'm doing or if I can't find anything, they give me an assignment. Whatever department has the most backlog that day gets me. I primarily have clerk-like duties.
