So where should we meet? I'm thinking Chicago is pretty central and there's Michigan Avenue. :)
 
I'm near D.C.! :p We've got some nice shopping in the area. Great bars, too. Baltimore is also nice.

I hate that, too. I try to refresh old stuff if I can (new top to go with a skirt, etc).
 
hey Kestra - how did the dress work out for the wedding?

I saw your post about the reading, but I didn't want to fill that thread with girl talk about dresses ;)
 
Haha I was trying not to throw a comment in that thread either. I thought about posting here then thought nah, people aren't that interested in these details of my silly life!

The dress actually worked out pretty great. Okay, it wasn't as high-cut as I would have liked and I had to adjust a few times. But it was definitely decent enough for the ceremony and I got several compliments on my dress at the reception.

I had to do a bit of emergency work on the bride's dress. Funny how it randomly gets left to me even when I'm not on the job! Also hilarious image of me running in and out of the church with kitchen scissors. I keep the randomest things in the car and with me, but they prove useful sometimes!

And just to reward all of those who read my babbling, here's a picture of the cute purse my mom bought for me randomly. I love it and used it today. :)



She also got me the following two necklaces and I wore the black one today.

I'd be up for that - depends on who are takers are and where they're located. I'd push for Minneapolis but I have a feeling I know how that would go. :D

In fact you can do the shopping talk for me! I was thinking I might have to crib some lines off Holdfast to fake it. My idea of shopping for clothes is the Lands' End website and a credit card.

ooh, I can do that. I'm good at carrying shopping bags too. I just get bored with the browsing part and frustrated that shops never have anything I want anyway!

A quick look round a bookstore and I'm done, shopping wise.
