I don't believe in 'old'. I'll be 90 and still wearing my gold Rocawear shoes and acting like a 20 year old.
Yeah, but by that time it will probably be because you have Alzheimer's.

I'm not necessarily talking about feeling like a senior citizen, but have you ever felt like you're not as young as you used to be? If so, when did you start to feel that way? Is it when you hit your 20s, 30s, or 40s, or has it more to do with certain milestone achievements like getting married and having kids?
I'm soon to be 34 and i feel this on a weekly bases.
First it was younger people start calling me Sir and using the german word "you" in a matter indicating you're a stranger and need to called neutral (in german there's a difference to the word "you" used amongst friends and "you" used when meeting strangers who have not given permission somehow to use the more informal version). It's especially noticeable with apprentices i get at my job i have to train who are late teenagers or very early twenty-somethings.
Then comes the realization that i could party the entire weekend with about 5 hours sleep total whereas doing that today would ruin me for days to come.
There's also the additional small pains here and there.. something i didn't have 10 or 20 years ago.

You're not old until you start saying things like"Them damned kids and their crazy music.".

Does thinking all music made today sucks and is nowhere near as good as your day count?
Teaching high school makes me feel old every goddamned day. And I'm only 26.
No way! But you know, when we were kids and we had schoolteachers who were in their 20s and 30s, we thought they were old, right?![]()

It used to, but not any more. Now its just that it sucks.
All I can do is analyze it from a musical and sound engineering POV. And occasionally you do get a good vocal performance, and once in a truly blue moon, an instrumental performance of note - but it is the insistence on bland instrumental tracks in hip-hop I find the most annoying. But I like what they do sound-wise.Does thinking all music made today sucks and is nowhere near as good as your day count?

Every time I turn the radio on, I go "What is this crap?"
I never heard classic rock till I stopped listening to classic rock stations. Though a lot of what they play is good.^^ I don't. I listen to ZLX Classic Rock.![]()
That's BC, right? In my case, 40 was the dividing line between "adult" and "middle-aged adult."
70+ starts going into "old" territory.
The other day I met someone named Dave Scott...I said "like the astronaut?"...and he said "huh?" I said "Gemini? Apollo?" and he said "huh?"
I'm a little under halfway through 29. I will be 30 next year and I have made nothing of my life.
