Astra's ENT action figures in action

I love, love, love the packing picture! It really adds to the verisimilitude of the whole adventure! The hydrating scene does too! Don’t get me wrong, the action scenes with the climbing are great but seeing the preparation and the stops to refuel make it feel much more real.

That Shran figure is fantastic!

The stories you create with your figures - and all the prop touches - are just wonderful. Knowing the time and effort you put into them makes them even better.

I loved seeing Jon hiking outside with the sun on his face. He's in such great shape (Bakula is gorgeous ) that hiking seems a natural for him.

Nice selfie of you two!

There's a reason the drinking picture is the first! It was the first I did once arriving at the spot. I should have shuffled it around and add it later (after his exercise) but they come in the exact order I took them. So yes, those little scenes are dear to my heart as well! It's just stuff I can relate to much better, as I don't know the faintest thing about climbing ;) I did my best.

Guess what episode I watched yesterday evening to stay in the spirit ;)
He DOES look good in "Home". Those arms on full display, the sun shining down on him, a bit sweaty and scruffy - and then all the mental stuff he carries around.

I always wonder though how stuff like this is filmed. It's not only the actors hanging at the rock walls, but the camera man too? Can't be easy!

I had wanted to include Porthos watching Jon in the picture where Jon packs his hiking gear, sitting on the bed, and then I forgot! Aaaaah! So I did a coming home picture instead. "Wait, let me take off my backpack first!"

Awwww! So cute! Porthos is so happy to welcome him home!
You almost can see his tail wagging!

So what happens after you come home from an exhausting trip? You put the dirty clothes into the wash. Hope these following pictures are not too raunchy for this board ;)

Look at his cute belly button!

And another custom project by me.
I am still obsessed with "NCIS New Orleans". I took Keanu Reeves as John Wick and John Diggle (from "Arrow") and created myself a Patton Plame.

Can you see at the hip at one side, where I cut it rounder? That was because he is sitting in a wheelchair and his legs were not able to go up far enough. By cutting it rounder, the thighs were not bumping against the edge anymore.

I also had trouble with the heads again. As you can see, the thick brown plug would be far too huge to fit into the hole where the former thin black plug was in.

I managed to pull both plugs out. I thought I just switch them.

But as you can see, the neck looks unnatural long.

The reason is that the head is too small for the bigger body.

So I cut it shorter. Which means again losing articulation but it had to be.

Much better, isn't it?

As you can see, the shoulders also look odd, after removing the jacket. So I had to file them down to make them rounder.

From then on it was just a paint job. I did not exactly match the pattern of the shirt but this was the best I could do in this scale.

Anyway, the actor liked it very much and even posted it to his Facebook and Instagram. I bet he never thought to see an action figure of himself!

1) Is that actual scaled down tile work in the washroom?

2) That is absolutely awesome that Daryl Mitchell liked the action figure you made of him! You put in a lot of effort and time!

Yeah, I was very happy about him liking it! About the bathroom, I made that myself by cutting out a lot of cardboard rectangles and glueing them to a surface. However, I originally made that for the 4,5" Voyager figures so for 12" Jon it was a bit small. I had to turn the walls vertical instead of horizontal.

Here is what it usually looks like:

I think I should do a thread for my Voyager pictures over in the Voyager forum as well.

Thanks Astra for posting your Archer photos you're very talented.
Thank you! Two more from hanging up the wash, then I'll stop with the halfnaked men, promise ;)

Since I started to do weight training at almost 50 years old, I figured my figures also need some workout! Got the weights from Wrestling figures accessories.

I can’t believe you individually crafted each tile! I think the tiles look great for either scale. Currently bigger tiles seem more popular but our apartment from the early 1900s had much smaller tiles. So, tile size seems to change with the fashion and I can absolutely believe Enterprise era fashion was for smaller tiles and Voyager era fashion was for bigger tiles.

I’d love to see Voyager tableaus! I check the Voyager boards every time I am on here and that would be a treat to see!

The weightlifting scene was so amusing! I should start it too, helps stave off bone density depletion!

Oh yeah I only can recommend weightlifting! Not the kind Malcolm and Trip are doing, those are called free weights. If you go to a gym, they will have machines for beginners which is a lot easier and safer and so much fun trying to reach the next higher level. I only started in November and already am pushing weights I never dreamt possible before!

I am almost 50 years old and at that age you need to think of later, we grow more fragile when we get older. Especially also with all the hormone change during menopause. So, be prepared and start building muscles to help your joints while you can. It's never too late! Happy lifting!

Cutting and glueing so many "tiles" was both a nightmare and very relaxing! Even though I measured correctly, I still ended up with some that were too big and others that were too small to fit into the rows. So I had to throw some away.

As you can see, for 1/6th scale it also only is enough for one corner, not for a whole room, but I didn't care. It brought across the theme and you need to be flexible and use your imagination for the rest.

And done! Here you go! I have lots and lots of Voyager pictures, before Enterprise I was very active in this fandom and am still doing some.

@HopefulRomantic could you please change the name of this thread here to include ENT? Similarly to "Astra's VOY action figures in action" and "Astra's TOS action figures in action"? Then I can always tell the threads apart in my alerts, that would be nice. Thank you!

^^^^^^^ I got you covered as Hopeful’s willing assistant.

Thank you very much! Much better, isn't it?

It's good to be the Sho-Rin. :)

Astra! Many thanks for the racy pics of our buff Captain!

Always ;)
How about some more?

Have you seen the 1995 movie "Lord of Illusions"? If not you should, he often is running around half naked or sleeping in his underwear :censored:

Here is Scott Bakula as Harry D'Amour. I got this cute little holster for him.
Screenshots stolen from Tumblr.

Sweet! I loved "Lord of Illusions." He looked mighty fine in that one. Thanks!

I'm not too much into horror and the plot of the movie was a bit too bloody and gory for me, but I agree, Scott looks exceptionally good! He also looks really good in the 1996 TV series "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" where he plays an agent. It used to be on youtube but it seems to be gone now, sorry :(

Nice pictures as always Astra thanks for sharing them.:bolian::)
Thank you!

Today September 2nd is Malcolm Reed's birthday, did you know? Happy Birthday, Malcolm! Look what Archer and Phlox got for you!

Perfect chance to show off my new backgrounds that I found!
