I just finished Brotherhood as well - really good game - though I thought the AC2 ending was a much better WTF moment.

The last memory sequence in ACB was pretty awfully executed, but other than that, I liked the game as much as AC2.
I played all 30 hours of AC2 and still didn't feel like I had ANY control over Ezio, who decided to jump off a wall plummeting to his death more times than I could count. Whoever thought contextual controls for primary movements was a good idea should have his balls lopped off and fed to him--contextual controls like this just don't work, period. Don't even get me started on the sideways wall climb mechanic that was introduced solely for the final glyph and used nowhere else in the game--I almost stopped playing right then and there but was so close to the end of this POS that I felt compelled to finish it.
Godsdamnit, AC2 and Brotherhood arrived first. I want my Assassin's Creed 1 RIGHT NAU!!11My copies of AC1 & 2 + Brotherhood will be arriving any day now, pretty excited.![]()

Seriously? I played the game, too, and what you say is close to bullshit, sorry to say that.
I was interested in the game, but the fighting was what turned me off. If it was easier to hack and slash my way through the enemies then I would have really enjoyed this game.
I agree chase scenes were extremely difficult sometimes since you had to perform the route perfectly without a single "whoopsie".
But yeah once you understand the rhythm of the game combat is extremely easy for the most part. You just counterattack when they swing. Of course several times I would inexplicably find myself out of sync and get my ass kicked![]()
