Looks amazing. I'm still only about halfway through Origins though. There's just so much to do. I've got a whole stack of PS4 games that I've barely gotten around to now because AC:Origins took over my life.
Reminds me of how in Syndicate they made a big deal about you being able to play a female Assassin but Jacob was far more prominent in the marketing than Evie (and the game too, IIRC).You know what's super shitty?
Stating that Kassandra is the "canonical" main character, yet using Alexios in all of your marketing material.
Whack. Suuuuper whack.
IGN has posted a couple articles about Odyssey the last few days.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey: (Re)bulidng Athens - Features a couple of members of the creative team talking about how they build their versions of Athens. It also includes a video showing off some of the city's major locations. This really is a gorgeous game.
How Assassin's Creed Odyssey is Redesigning Naval Combat - Discusses how the naval combat in Odyssey is different from Black Flag's.
They've also released a 12 minute video showing a mission you go on for Hippokrates.
One thing I'm noticing that I'm already loving, is the fact that the game is actually bright and colorful. It's sad how rare that is in pretty much all visual media this days.
(I also didn't play Rogue)
I may have to check it out. I avoided it because I played Unity first and it soured Assassin's Creed for me for the year. I was hesitant to pick up Syndicate the next year, but I'm glad I did!Rogue was quite good. It's the Templar version of Black Flag. Same open-world sailing system, but this time in the Northern Arctic. That one got a remaster not too long ago, I believe.
I look forward it, it'll add a nice bit of variety to things you do.Looks okay but the choice thing bothers me. Sounds like too much of a distraction.
I don't think this is really making that much a difference in the gameplay, it looks like you're pretty much doing the same kind of stuff you usually do, you just aren't being called an assassin while you're doing it.Plus there is the fact that you're not a Assassin in this.
How so?Getting a remaster of ACIII is good though. That was the last AC game that mattered.
You're not even the 1st Assassin...Looks okay but the choice thing bothers me. Sounds like too much of a distraction.

Just be glad some games changed their release dates after Rockstar announced the release date for RDR2...I loved AC: Origins, but I'm going to wait a bit for this one as I plan on getting RDR first. Seems like October's a good month for some big releases. Two huge open-world games in the span of a few weeks? Going to need some extra time on my hands![]()
