Ha! That would be fun. I used to color a lot.
A good friend of mine owns a hair salon and he has started doing barbershop haircuts on Sunday and Monday when his salon is normal close. He had a little printed paper sign in the window but I wanted to make him something a little nicer. While it's not perfect, he loved it.

Yes, I think you should pick it up again. You'd see so much more in the stones that weren't a part of your limited, although innocent, ideas of the world. Love the sticks. Thank you! Looking through the crafty book I used a lot back then for inspiration, I must admit that many of the designs weren't even my own idea but came from the book. The lions, the seals, the turtles.
It was just varnish from my father's stack. I grew up in Eastern Germany so in any case it would have been an Eastern German brand. And it has yellowed a bit over times sadly.
We have had a quite cold and rainy Summer so far so I have not gone out yet looking for new stones.
