Recently, I found that old envelope, and was looking through the clips - imagine my surprise when I found this, apparently from a test shot on the bridge, before production of the series even began:

Originally, I was going to make a Poser-based poster for the challenge on Star Trek Artists Unite on deviantArt ("make a movie poster for any Trek episode of any series"), but I ended up sticking completely with typography for this one:
(Incidentally, the bar code is also the title - I was looking for ways to play with the "black and white" concept throughout the image; the "=" in the date is also subtly significant, my way of stating that they were, in fact, equals).
