^ You're picking "CW shows" as the comparison base. If you pick "DC shows," however, Black Lightning is the only series across multiple networks and platforms (the CW, FOX, Syfy, DC Universe) not getting a Blu-ray release in the States.
Let's compare Betlanti productions ... or just CW, which is apple's to apple's. @The Realist point is still validBecause WB and CW probably have a lot more to do with those kind of decisions than DC does.
You're not wrong that Warner makes the decision, since they own and release all the DC shows. Doesn't change the fact. And I still think "other DC shows" is the most relevant category for comparison, but if you don't, that's certainly your prerogative.Because WB and CW probably have a lot more to do with those kind of decisions than DC does.
I’d bet a lot more on it being a bean counter decision than a racist one. If it was getting a non-HD only release on iTunes and similar download/streaming services as well, I could see deliberate racism at work. This seems a serious stretch. If there was money to be made for the content providers, there’d be a Blu-ray.^ You're picking "CW shows" as the comparison base. That narrows it down to not just being a First World problem, but a Geek World problem.I still think "other DC shows" is the most relevant category for comparison
That why I would call it green racism vs. Red racism . Green racists don't consciously say they want to hurt black people economically... but those decisions wind up doing so.I’d bet a lot more on it being a bean counter decision than a racist one. Yeah, I acknowledged as much uptopic, though we're agreed the optics are poor. The only thing I was still arguing was JD's choice of relevant comparator shows.I’d bet a lot more on it being a bean counter decision than a racist one.
Ha, true. That narrows it down to not just being a First World problem, but a Geek World problem.
I was looking at CWs schedule and I was surprised they are only reairing Part 3 next Monday night and not the whole thing. I would have thought they would have reaired the whole thing, considering how big they treated the crossover in December.
All three parts are streaming for free on their website. I gather that the high traffic on their website/app is why they can afford to keep so many niche/cult shows whose ratings wouldn't be high enough to survive on another network. So maybe they figure the online availability makes it less necessary to rerun them over the air.

The shows listed are 'Supergirl' for Part 1 and batwoman for Part 2 - so if you only have Flash and Arrow set, you won't get it on the DVR.Interesting. I was looking for it but I only do have Flash and Arrow set to record. Like Christopher said, it is on the App, and if they are airing it tonight, that refreshes how long it stays on the app.
