Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

Osric Chau cast

the actor will recur during the five-part event as Ryan Choi, a physics professor at Ivy Town University who learns that he has a pivotal role to play in the coming crisis. The character was name-dropped in The Flash‘s Season 5 premiere, as the designer of the supersuit-carrying ring that Nora gave her dad Barry.

Holy crap, I hope that happens. So I wonder if they'll go for anybody from the Superboy TV series?
Sherman Howard and Stacy Haiduk are both still active (impressive for Howard, considering his age). Gerard Christopher's last acting credit on IMDb is from an episode of General Hospital in 2013, but my hunch is he'd at least consider it. Plus, looking at his IMDb profile image, he seems to have matured nicely and could easily pull off the elder Superman. Alternatively, John Haymes Newton seems to be still working.

Oh right, I forgot that Brandon Routh is leaving Legends. I guess we can assume that Ryan Choi will take over as Atom once he's gone.

I'm starting to think most of these will be blink or you'll miss it cameos, which is kind of disappointing. Why else have the least known actor of a mostly forgotten show that ran a dozen episodes 17 years ago?

Wow, they really are going for everything here aren't they. I thought about Birds of Prey when I was going through old DC shows, but I assumed since it wasn't very popular they'd just ignore it.
I'm trying to think what other DC shows we haven't heard about people from yet. I'm thinking no Titans will probably also mean no Doom Patrol or Swamp Thing (2019).
Shazam! - Micheal Gray is the last surviving and active cast member.
The Legend of Isis - Joanna Cameron is alive, but hasn't acted since 1980.
Swamp Thing (1990) - Of the three actors with Wikipedia pages, Kari Wurer and Mark Lindsay Chapman are still alive and acting.
Superboy - already discussed up thread
The Adventures of Superman - The only surviving cast member is Phyllis Coates, but she's 92, so I doubt very much that she'll appear.
Lois & Clark - I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard anything about L&C cast members since both Dean Cain and Terry Hatcher have been on Supergirl.
Gotham - I would love to see someone from Gotham. Since this just ended, everyone is still alive and probably still acting.
Powerless - Since the show was a flop, I doubt we'll see anyone from it.

On Michael Rosenbaum ‘s comments about turning this down. I understand his reasoning if that is truth. I doubt everyone was given such vague offers. A few weeks ago Stephen Amell posted a picture of his 5 scripts for all the different episodes. I suspect the early announcements were big roles. But with so much hype and fan enthusiasm they are offering cameos to more.

Huntress, the version who is daughter of Batman and Catwoman is one of the few who has been announced who was in the original comic story. Though small role.

I would really love to see Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. On Dean politics - I met him at the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL in 2014. I knew he was conservative but this was pre-Trump. I would not want to met him now. That said I met one of the stars of a favorite show as kid. That is the memory and it’s a good one

I do not follow Dean on Twitter on purpose. I do follow Brandon Routh who is liberal. A year or two ago a picture was posted of two of them at a convention. They have been to a number of cons together. Regardless of political differences they like each other.. Someone asked Dean if his politics is why he had not been on Supergirl in awhile. He completely dismissed it. He said the show was busy covering other storylines. Plus busy with his own life and other work. Believe that or not but he clearly does not keep his opinions to himself...

Dean and Teri have done a number of convention appearances together in recent years. I can not imagine what their real relationship is like. Anyone who follows her knows she is not a Trump supporter in any way. Maybe they just do it for the fans.

Maybe some people don't take the cover your ears and say "lalalala I CANT HEEEAAAAAARRRRR YOUUUUUU" approach to politics (the way you obviously do) and are able to open a discussion with people they disagree with?

Oh man, what an AWFUL post. Yikes.

I agree most of these will probably be one- or two-scene appearances, but with BoP I'm sure it came down to availability or willingness -- they got the one they could. (Although they've already got Rachel Skarsten on board and aren't averse to doubling up Arrowverse actors as their old characters, so we might see Helena Wayne and Dinah Redmond reunited.)

Probably true of many if not most of them. I suspect (and certainly hope) that a few -- Routh, Welling, and Durance among them -- will have larger roles in the story.

Arrowverse doesn't really interest me, but you can be damn sure I'll be watching the Smallville universe clips and all the other fun cameos on YouTube.

Stacy Haiduk has said she hasn't been contacted. It would be great to see Dean Cain.

I would welcome anyone in this crossover. My only concern is the writing.

I like the idea of COIE, but I don't want them to follow to the letter the comic book story. I already read that, and to be honest, if they are going to use classic characters from classic shows, then they need to respect them and who they are. I don't want to see Tom Welling written like Tyler Hoeschlin.

I would want to see Welling have a significant role, as if Smallville was a part of the Arrowverse. I don't want him just being snapped away like Flash 90 was.

After the comics COIE, there was one Earth and one version of each character. It took them 30 years to bring the multiverse back.

But I wouldn't want them to do that. Instead, they should save every Earth, with our heroes battling it out over the battlefields of several Earths. Some should be cameos, like Burt Ward. Others should have major roles, like Tom Welling.

I thought of another reason they might not want to cross over with ongoing shows like Titans. If we're going to be seeing the impact of the Crisis on alternate worlds like in the comic, then a number of those worlds might be wiped out, like Earth-90 was in Elseworlds. I doubt they'd permanently wipe out the reality of a more popular show like Smallville, but the Birds of Prey world, for instance, might be toast. At the very least, many of the alternate worlds might be massively disrupted or altered by the Crisis, and that wouldn't be feasible to do with an ongoing show like Titans that has its own narrative to tell.
