Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

I wonder if they are bringing in anyone from Powerless.

If they bring in Alan Tudyk, I'd be up for it. Heck, let's have the Alan Tudyk DC universe crossover. Make him Van Wayne, Mr. Nobody, and alternate universe versions of Green Arrow, Barry Allen and Captain Cold (those last three being characters he's voiced in animation before, Green Arrow he's actually voiced multiple times, to my surprise).

As I said in an earlier post about Brandon Routh, can we get the John Williams theme? Now with Burt Ward, can we get the Batman Theme as well?

The font of tidbits and knowledge continues to be Marc Guggenheim. He says (regarding the Williams Superman theme music):
I’ve been told we can’t.

That's fine. I like Blake Neely's Superman theme. (Even if it does sound more like the Brisco County Jr. theme with Patton trumpets than a typical Superman theme.)

Perfection! I thought Alex Ross made the S too big Superman Returns too small. This is good compromise.

Without Williams theme I would be happy with one from Fleischer cartoons. Which was inspiration for Ross in that costume.

Love the trunks, they keep trying to shrink them, or get rid of them entirely, but they look best when they are full "circus strongman" size.

Ten bucks says Mick calls him Captain Underpants! :D
(waiting for Christopher to correct you that they aren't underwear; also anticipating the criticism when he reviews the episode where your prediction comes true)

On a different note... wondering if some of these guest stars will appear in something other than the Crisis-designated episodes.... especially in the last season of Arrow (where presumably Oliver will be jumping around a couple of universes). If they want to give those more than just a glorified cameo, they will need to appear in OTHER kinds of epsiodes… perhaps end credit scenes which show that particular earth either dying to being in danger. I would be interested if they will go the anti-matter white light effect of the comics, or something different.

W(hy)TF not? Krypton was able to use it several times. :scream:
They probably have to pay a fee; and before you say "Well, they should..." - they're probably already way over what they had originally budgeted for this affair. In the end, this is all still a business designed to generate profit; so they gotta draw the line somewhere.

That's a pretty cool suit, and its awesome that it doesn't run away from the trunks at all, they really work well with the suit. I always thought that Routh would have been a very good Superman if he'd had a good script to work with, so I'm excited to see him get to play Superman again.

So Routh and Tyler will probably have a scene as Supermen. Now we have to hope Welling will man up and wear a suit.

I like the idea of COIE, but I don't want them to follow to the letter the comic book story.
I think at this point the Arrowverse is to different from the '80s comics for them to be able to stick to close the comics.
I already read that, and to be honest, if they are going to use classic characters from classic shows, then they need to respect them and who they are. I don't want to see Tom Welling written like Tyler Hoeschlin.
I trust them to know what they're doing at this point.

I would want to see Welling have a significant role, as if Smallville was a part of the Arrowverse. I don't want him just being snapped away like Flash 90 was.
He's one of the few I could actually see having a fairly significant role in this.

After the comics COIE, there was one Earth and one version of each character. It took them 30 years to bring the multiverse back.

But I wouldn't want them to do that. Instead, they should save every Earth, with our heroes battling it out over the battlefields of several Earths. Some should be cameos, like Burt Ward. Others should have major roles, like Tom Welling.
Yeah, I'm hoping they don't collapse everything into one universe, it would just be to much of a shift mid-story.
I thought of another reason they might not want to cross over with ongoing shows like Titans. If we're going to be seeing the impact of the Crisis on alternate worlds like in the comic, then a number of those worlds might be wiped out, like Earth-90 was in Elseworlds. I doubt they'd permanently wipe out the reality of a more popular show like Smallville, but the Birds of Prey world, for instance, might be toast. At the very least, many of the alternate worlds might be massively disrupted or altered by the Crisis, and that wouldn't be feasible to do with an ongoing show like Titans that has its own narrative to tell.
That's a very good point that hadn't occurred to me.
