Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

I get that Guggenheim wanted to include Smallville actors in the crossover, but this is the wrong approach.

Throwing every rule that the franchise has established about its Multiverse completely out the window makes even less sense than Voltron Legendary Defender wasting one of its 78 total episodes on a boring and humorless Family Feud parody (which is saying something).

I don't think 5 episodes is enough to do this right. Remember the Flash 90 appearance. It was beyond disappointing. He shows up, delivers like one line, and Monitor snaps his fingers like he was nothing.

There are so many characters here, and my fear is that Welling will show up and do nothing, and spout maybe one line.

Something like this deserves a significant role, and it should be set up.

Maybe if they set up things on the shows before the main event? Let's have an adventure of just Flash90 and Barry on The Flash. Bring Tom Welling onto Supergirl as Superman, without making him look like a weakling.

They are setting up some great stuff here, but they must deliver. Think the 50th of Doctor Who. Kitchen sink stories can be amazing.

But they require writers that respect the characters involved, with no agenda to pump up other characters.
At this point I'm expecting most of these people to be fairly quick cameos.

Do we know for sure anybody other than Welling will be playing the exact version of their character we used to play?
It sounds like Routh's Superman is a different version from Superman Return, and most of the other announcements haven't been very specific.

Given that he's turned out to be an alt-right asshole I wouldn't hold my breath. That's why he vanished from 'Super-woke-girl'.

When Supergirl hired Kevin Sorbo it was long after he came out as a raciest shit stain. Seriously, he was publicly a blatantly racist nutjob for a long time before he showed up in Supergirl, they had to have known what he was when he was hired to play Mon-El's Dad. So, if Supergirl hired someone knowing he was one of the people the shows writing is generally against, obviously someone in the casting department of at least one of these CW shows either doesn't give a shit or is actively undermining things.

I mean, I really hope Dean Cain doesn't show up, because fuck him. I just have no faith in the casting people after they twice undermined Supergirl by hiring people that in real life are basically non-powered versions of Supergirl villains.

Wow, you really need to be able to write JOKE in big flashing letters sometimes.
Damn, because I had this lined up:

I read somewhere that Brandon Routh said he was going to be working out to get himself into shape for the role which would imply in his case at least that he'll be more than cameoing in the show. I would imagine given the expense of (presumably) flying them from Atlanta to Vancouver that that's probably true also for the Black Lightning cast.
By the way, this is for British board members, does anyone know if Batwoman is going to be screened on Sky One like the other shows?

Kevin Sorbo has become much the same, but they still brought him in to play Mon-El's father.

Yes, probably. As I recall, the original comics crossover opened with brief glimpses of a number of alternate worlds being erased. I've been expecting the same here.

Although it'd be kind of a waste if they didn't put all the Supermen together in the same scene.

I expect they'll be vague about it in some cases, e.g. Burt Ward.

What "rules"? The only rule to the CW Multiverse is that anyone from any universe can be anything. Cisco could be Batman on Earth 47, or Iris could be the Supergirl of Earth 4. If people like clark Kent can be completely different people in different universes (like Routh's Superman and Supergirl's Superman), then Tom Welling makes as much sense as anything. the comics were/are the same way. Sometimes alternate reality versions of people look the same, sometimes they don't.

Well, what was said implied he's the Returns Superman just years down the line from when we last saw him, but they also don't want to tie him down to being the Returns Superman because it isn't their story. Yes, and no?

Please provide one example of Kevin Sorbo being racist. Though I see plenty of intolerance and hate in your post.

Welling is reprising Clark Kent. Some of the articles are flat out stating we are getting an update on the character. I just hope it's worthy.

Isn't he currently staring in a film in which he's "heroically" slaughtering anti-fascists?

You mean terrorists? You don't think people who engage in violence and hide in masks, while targeting anyone who doesn't agree with them, again, violently, are bad people?

That's the exact opposite of racism. ANTIFA is a group of domestic terrorists. Very bad example.

ANTIFA is no different than the KKK. And they have no problem harassing black people. They ARE racist. So yeah, no good.

Congratulations, your Trump impersonation is spot on.

Remind me again, how many people have been slaughtered this year by the scum your President calls "very fine people" and how many by anti-fascists?

Congratulations, you have misquoted Trump like the socialist left is bound to do. Trump has denounced all forms of white supremacy, which is an inconvenient fact for the false narrative. Meanwhile, no reaction to liberals showing up in black-face.

It's not hard to find video of Antifa engaging in violence against minorities, but this is a thread about Crisis.

Some people laid false accusations against Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo because they aren't liberal puppets, and I merely asked for proof. None was provided, proving my point. I realize for some, the definition of racism means not being liberal, but that's not based in reality.

Instead of withdrawing the false accusation, a useless rant against Trump was the next tactic. But it still doesn't change that the claims about Sorbo and Cain are flat out character assassinations and lies.

They like the President. Get over it.

Not planning on answering my question then? How many people have been killed by anti-fascists as opposed to right-wingers this year? I'll be very generous and give you the Dayton shooter, even though he was really an Incel, now you tell me how many others there were.
